LOL, you can say that again! I usually feel very disappointed in love TBH with you because I have very high expectations + a tendency to put people on a pedestal when I 1st meet them. At 1st they're just perfect & all I ever wanted Slowly reality sets in & I start seeing them for who they really are (which is rarely ever up to my standards)...that's when the disappointment sets in & I get an overwhelming itch to next them & keep searching. I guess I'm idealistic about
love.

Hmm... I can relate to that a little cos I've been incapable of keeping a relationship much longer than 6full moon myself . The drive to keep it burning just stops coming lol...I believe their will be light at the end of the tunnel tho, you'll soon sit your adventurous ass somewhere

LOL, I just got aware of that recently, btw. And I am doing my best, now that I know, to cut people some slack. I've realized that maybe I'd never find the kind of romance I have in mind.

Do you also get the feeling that you wanna be loved a certain way? Because that's what kills it for me. I have an idea of how I want it to be but get dissatisfied because nobody does it the "right" way & I don't feel like telling someone how to do it because I feel the "right guy" would just know. You know what I mean? So relationships become a, "Head I win, Tail you lose". Basically, a no win situation for either party involved. It sucks big time.

I've had long-term relationships though & I always end up resenting or hating the guys I date because they never feel like the perfect fit, for failing to meet my unspoken expectations. It makes me feel like I'm selfish & self-centered, which I probably am

Wow! y'kno , something tells me you've been over pampered with love either as from when you were a kid till yo this grown by parents or you have had this bf you so loved and had held in such high esteem his standards now forms the basis of your grading guys lol or maybe you feel too much i.e you're so sensitive ykno when the love coming from yo significant other starts waning however slyly. The big guess however is that you've read too much romance, you have this basic high standards stuck up in your head that are literally feats too high to keep up with for a human being. The latter being what I'm currently fighting myself, coupled with the foremost illustration; my mom esp. is one hell of a lover! . So, these girls I've been meeting even after possibly giving their best shots still don't matter deep down.

It has been affecting my general life in some ways tho, cos I still have so many adventures in mind I want to live with that perfect girl ykno and my life even though quite occupied with quite copious to-do's still sorta feels boring and empty, and as a result I find it very easy going kaboom over even the minutest irritations smh and you know what? I feel im still too young for this cos I'm just twenty something. So,people have suggested I go get a girl friend not girlfriend but it's like I've always been unfortunate; We always end up fukcing after a few coupla dates and in a few weeks complications sets in cos she feels we're now a subject when I actually am feeling NO-THING! . Cycle of my life. So right now, I've decided to develop new habits and widen my horizon; I already registered in a library I'm gonna start frequenting come next week God willing.
