I sincerely need your advice and expert opinion and "experience " if any on this. I have this very good friend of mine who has been in a serious relationship for over five years now. They however had plans of getting married by next year, but then early this year they decided to go for a blood test where it was revealed they are both of the AS genotype. This has affected her real hard as she's almost 36. she has rejected many suitors just to be with this guy. The guy his an orphan hustling and making it on his own. The issue on ground is the girls family, despite the willingness of the girl to stick with her Man, her mum insisted it's not gonna work for the risk of having an SS genotyped child. she's so worried and don't know what to do, she doesn't wish to start a new relationship over again as she felt she's not getting any younger(her junior ones are married with kids).
What are the chances of having a SS genotyped child if she defies all odds to marry him? I need your advice pls

i shake my head, make dem marry na, come dey expect miracle not to av a SS child. I pity them big tym. Its better they dissolve the relationship now than to put kids into uneccesary hardship. Am out

Her chances of having SS child will be one out of every four chances (AS, AS, AA and SS). She should only marry a guy with AA genotype. The regret of having a sickle cell in the future will be more than the love they share at the moment. Don't say you were not warned.

How many times are you going to post this? i know you are the one who wants to get married to the AS guy. continue, you will have 3SS children and the hospital will be your second home.

Option 1: They can marry ooo BUT they SHOULD NOT have children else they are rightly defining wickedness.
Option 2: They should just end their relationship and move on if they really want to have children.

U just want to suffer ur unborn kids. By the time u make the hospital ur second home, am sure love will fall off ur eyes.

it always "a friend " tell ur so called friend that being madly inlove isn't gonna stop them frm having sickle cell kids it can be all their children lemme warn u.......mad ni craze ko
