We are at least now finally getting some insight into the other side of the story; much as the Fulani have been maligned as wanton killers, it should be equally obvious that they wouldn't just wake and start killing ppl without a reason; part of that reason as we can see is that the Igbos have been scamming them, collecting money for grazing or selling them land and later renegading or collecting same under false pretext.

There was even a thread about similar happening where some youths in Amalla LG, Enugu allegedly sold land to the Fulani for as much as 4 million Naira, causing some members of the community to disagree and attempting to chase them away but only for the Fulani to refuse to budge until being refunded their money with interest.
https://www.nairaland.com/3079874/enugu-amalla-people-sold-land

We also have heard elsewhere that part of the reason for the Enugu attack was that the Igbos were killing and burying them secretly, which came to light after the Fulani discovered bodies of their ppl buried upside down and disembowelled in shallow graves - as culturally vengeful ppl, the Fulani therefore felt obliged to retaliate and the rest is now history.

It is a pity that we have poor and often biased journalism were the public are misinformed through lopsided media reporting.
We can see how some members of the Igbo host communities were taking advantage of the herdsmen, who in turn after being scammed feel sufficiently provoked to take retaliatory action - and we all know how the Igbos are experts at playing the victims card.

Stories to these clashes are often not one sided, there is always the other side, and if examined carefully sometimes you may even find the herdsmen are the actual victims.

My question has always been: "why did Fulanis attacked that village?
Even the man claimed that the attackers assembled at another place, yet he knew the village they were going to attack. How did he know? There are many things we're not been told.

Save this energy for your traditional rulers who sold you off to Fulanis in 2016. This is one of the reason Biafra can't happen. You can't take Fulani land with you.

Fulanis will wake you up, don't worry.

You have bussiness to do yet you shout yoruba yoruba all day. Hope selling off your lands to Fulanis aint the most common business out there. Iboland is not economically viable, selling it off to Fulanis pays your rulers more than developing it.

At least he survived unlike the Enugu Chief killed by the same Fulanis that your Rulers sold your lands to. Even after that, your coward ass still see them as "welcomed visitors" all because of money.

My question has always been: "why did Fulanis attacked that village?
Even the man claimed that the attackers assembled at another place, yet he knew the village they were going to attack. How did he know? There are many things we're not been told.

Unfortunately the south has monopoly of the press and in the ethno-religious context we are living today, southerners can easily manage the information that reaching us to suit their political agenda; this explains for the many gaps in these stories.

It has even been postulated that some of these attacks attributed to Fulani herdsmen could in fact be committed by other criminals who disguise themselves as Fulanis in order to hide their real identities or even be stage managed (with real victims) to give them a bad name.

Certainly, the latter possibilities may not be too far fetched with regards to the SE attacks considering the IPOB tactics to cause maximum disaffection between ethnic groups in order to achieve their agenda - it is possible they have could stage managed some of these attacks themselves to blame it on the Fulani (your unanswered questions coming to mind).
