5ml is a lot for a baby that age. Some meds prescribed for babies that age are as little as 0.25ml.

Neurofen for example is 2.5ml for any baby less than 6 months.

Do you mind sharing the name of the drug that was prescribed? Is it an antibiotic? What is the purpose of the drug? Is your baby really ill to warrant the doctor prescribing an higher dose?

I'm aware of cases where doctors prescribe a dose lower than what's stated on the leaflet. It's all down to the experience of the Doctor/the ailment that's being treated and its severity.

I don't know what drug was prescribed bt is it really a paediatrician that prescribed it? if yes then pls before giving ur baby d drug, discuss ur worries wt him/her. Actually, most paediatric dosages are calculated based on weight nt necessarily age. Its very impt to trust /hv confidence in ur Dr. if that is lost, may b tym to change Dr.

Well lemme tell u wat i did,we r in da same both.
I read one old wive tale that taking uda water immediately after kpekus is how dy controlled conception those days.
Just boil uda seeds(if u r not igbo i dont know d english name) then sieve and drink d warm water immediately after kpekus.noting will happen.when u r ready to take in u just stop.although by then ur af will have returned.then u can plan ur cycle.
Well for now am taking chances with uda water.other mamas can give us advice too.

that uda stuff might work, i still have the one my mother brought during her omugwo visit but to they prepare the thing na another thing but i don't think i have a choice. @fortius that female condom would have been the best , the last time i went for immunization they were giving us lecture how to use it,:i didnt get their explanation at all,it looks like something that will slip inside if not well placed.@ babythug my dh refuses any form of family planning because of side effect and the fear that it might lead to secondary infertility(we ttc for some years b4 this baby hence the fear)as for the condom, that he cant use it to kpekus his own wife was his excuse.i have been closing the door to my vj..hmm anytime he knock since then .

1. I have an Avent manual pump and it works fine..but you might want to get an electric pump if you're going to pump often.
2. As soon as your comfortable and can sit up without any discomfort and your stitches have healed.
3. Babies can travel as early as two weeks old.
4. By carrier do you mean the baby carrier or a car seat. Anyway you'll be carrying you baby on your lap except you plan on purchasing a seat for him, you'll have to use a car seat.
A carrier to use around the airport is fine and no specifications.
