cherrymum1: Hmmm. Why not take her to see a peadrictrian? Since you've tried several things and the rash still persists, she might actually need antibiotics to get rid of the rash. Secondly, wash ALL her clothing and bedding using antibacterial soap and/or rinse everything with warm water that has been diluted with dettol. It's pointless treating the rash on her skin when she's probably getting reinfected because the bacteria or whatever that is still on her clothing. I wash all my son's clothing using ariel's antibacterial and then use the "extra rinse" option on the washing machine. Some people might think it's overkill but I have never had to deal with a single rash since he was born. 1 Like

cherrymum1: Have you tried to change her soap cos babies react to soap also and its possible its even a particular material of cloth or drug, It could be anything. See a pediatrician if you have checked all possibilities. Well done mama, i can imagine your tiredness. |

Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by babythug(f): 8:35pm On Jul 10, 2016 |
AdaobiFelix: For the sake of establishing her mindset properly..id encourage you to stop now since she's still malleable. The crying for the few minutes you're doing your business wont hurt her. That's if she cries anyway..... One you don't want her discussing your privates with strangers when she gets to the chatty stage and then you don't want her to get comfortable viewing privates of strangers since she's used to seeing yours. 3 Likes |

AdaobiFelix: Hmmm. I personally do not think it's right and I think you should stop. If you do not have anybody to watch over her, all you have to do is to have your bath while she is still asleep first thing in the morning. If she is awake and your home is childproof, then you can leave her alone playing with toys while you dash to the bathroom for a quick "rub and shine" . I think children at that age should not be left alone unsupervised so any bath you are having should be done in max 5 minutes. Leave the longer bath time for when she's soundly asleep. Sometimes simple things like giving your daughter a small pot with a wooden cooking stick (omorogun) for her to bash the pot with is enough to keep her entertained for some minutes and you can dash to the toilet to pee. Sometimes it's inevitable not to have her around while urinating but try and minimise her presence. 1 Like |
