Since there's no time tag on her demand, u can continue relating with her while u study her conduct.

If I can afford without it causing dent on my account, I see no reason why I should not buy it for her. At least, I've put a smile on a face!
Since this is her first demand from me, it is too early for me to judge her motive. Afterwards, if it turns out she's taking advantage of my generosity, I'll then back out.
Personally, under certain circumstances, I like to allow myself to be an effect. But I make sure that I do so knowingly.

since u can afford it without problem, I am more inclined to think that u're the one trying to be smart and not her - by not giving out freely without expecting any reward in return . (My opinion, though!).
