Zoharariel:Segun and Jimi are brothers from a very influential family in Lagos. GTBank was fine until Uncle Tayo died and the arrogant Segun became the MD. I can bet that Segun will never sack the likes of Ajibike because Segun himself can even drain your blood to make money. All the OP said here are true and I must add that working as a contract staff in GTBank is next to living in hell. The inhuman volume of work assigned to these contract staff is not so much of the problem, but the unprovoked insults from GTBank core staff members. Things became worst since Segun took over as MD. First, the main pillars of the bank left and incompetent and wicked souls replaced them. Their Operations Division became worst since Sadiq Bello left. More shocking was when Aku Odinkemelu left marketing to Fidelity and all the best branch managers followed suit. The GTBank Contact centre (GTconnect) was the best unit to work in when Madam Uwem was there. In fact, it was like a normal family with strong bonding. The problem we have in Nigeria is bad and inept leadership. Imagine where my good brother (Ngige) is made the minister for Labour and Employment just because he has to be "settled". What exactly does Ngige know in that ministry? The honest answer is NOTHING. We can point to unemployment as the cause of these exploitations and inhuman treatment but the truth is, other countries have unemployment problems too but those who are employed, are adequately protected by law. I read yesterday on this platform, the lamentation of an employee who the employer refused to give offer letter and we have regulators and constituency representatives. |

Most of this companies that outsource their jobs treat staff like thrash and it's not proper. The NLC need to come in and fight for them. |

2 reasons issues like this persist. 1. Nigerian HR practitioners are textbook professionals. 2. Poor Labour laws/Union. Take care of your staff and rest will follow.

herzern:I fear your slavery mentality o... OP you need to change your career path or start something; like an entrepreneur. Learn something new and trade with it. I quit my former job just because of some issues such as these but presently I'm a web developer and a boss of my own and other few people. Wise up pls |

eddyjibs:I like this comment! While the comment seems insensitive, it is actually very true! If you were on the other side you will do as the bosses are doing. It's a profit-oriented business. Human feelings has stopped Fuelling businesses for a while now. The Labour Congress are the only people that can help change the status quo, else it will continue even when OP climbs the ladder and becomes the boss too |

babayega:The labour laws are still ok. Employees do not just know their rights and the Union guys are easily settled by the large corporates. You can sue an abusive Manager and employer for the psychological impact, emotional trauma and for infringing on your human right. This can be done if you get a good lawyer that can take up the case and get paid at the end of the long and tortous legal tussle. The major problem is the judiciary. The corporates easily get the judges bribed. There has been a case between Ecobank staff and the bank in court for the past 6years and the Judge has not even made an appreciable hearing on the case, in in whooping 6years. |

vislabraye:Lol ur monitoring me o.Yup many stuffs i do sttarted with just thinking of how to solve a problem, and when i researched i learnt further watched videos read tutorials pay fee to work with people here.I affiliate in many services i dont have time to render but are within my field. If people could stop doing facebook and start reading online, lives would change ! I spend averagely 8hours studying daily.Especially online. I join forums interact with asians especially get more ideas.. Nothing can stop one other than what one doesn't know. For Example New blogs popping up here n there means blogs would require write ups.Even Newbulletins on the web would need write ups. One can make a living from this. One write up cost abour 400naira,if one does one for 400naira at wholesale cost after writing 1000articles it will amount to 400,000naira. My brother what capital is required to be an article writer for example ? Another is Graphics Design the same process. I wish i could talk more.I'm eating deep into my daily work time i task myself But i wish you luck |
