They are being treated like Nigerians so i dont get where the agitations and hate speeches are coming from. What you need to understand is that Nigeria is still a developing nation with allegiance mainly owed to one's ethnic group before the nation, put differently, we have not yet attained nationhood. To this end, igbos should quit being leeches and develop the east, the yorubas wont be hospitable forever. Cracks are already evident in the Yoruba-Igbo relationship especially as it concerns the ownership of Lagos, the present generation of yoruba youths are shells shocked at the hate rhetoric coming from the igbos.

Igbos should stop pretending and develop alaigbo! If all igbos emigrate to yoruba land, who would develop the east. I also own properties here so i am not a stranger here but the igbos have taken this lagos thing personal to the point that lagos elites took note and didnt appoint any igbos to the lagos cabinet due to the insulta from igbos. Yorubas are now responding fire for fire, hate for hate and propapanga for propaganda. Furthermore, we now support biafra so that we can have peace. The question is, what more do you want? No matter the amount of no man's land chants you litter the internet with, Lagos will remain yorubaland with sons and daughters of Oduduwa ruling over her. No space for nyamiri.

Igbos are not grabbing any land. Pls tell the federal govt to use their veto power to develop eastern states first. It's this hate running through most of Nigerian blood that is responsible for the neglect in Igbo land. If u check properly inside Buhari's mind u will see hatred towards the Igbos and that reflects in his policies and actions. I can't use d wealth and sweat of Nigerians to develop an area and then turn around to chase them away. Igbos are the most peaceful and well travelled tribe in Nigeria. Many of u guys can't travel to ur various villages due to evil and backwardness of ur home. You love me I love u, u hate me I hate u. The times are evil one as to be careful with you guys. because if given d opportunity you guys will b ready to harm Igbos out of envy.

2)you own properties in Lagos,why don't you go to OYO and own properties.

I am not disputing that, Lagos is situated close to Yoruba area. Igbos don't hate anyone rather it's the Yoruba that is hating on the Igbos out of envy. Igbos don't play propaganda politics everyone knows who does that with controlled media. Maybe it's cocoa money that was used to develop all the infrastructures in Lagos?

Firstly,this is not tribal hating,am not responsible for how you interpret the article.

There are a few categories of people (NOT ALL) in southwersten and northern Nigeria who always spearhead the idea of igbos leaving SW and NORTH,you find them virtually everywhere,both online/offline rushing to tell you why igbos are in Lagos or Kano and why they should go,but the SW is one region that will not let a day go buy without reminding the igbos that they are not home.I will attempt to use this article to identify them.

The jobless:
ominile and agbero,(online/offline)these ones will take advantage of any crisis/riot to loot the shops of traders,a typical yoruba who has secured a good job won't be worried about igbos.

The loosers:
This group comprises of those who have sold their lands,regretting and are wondering how it was possible they didn't think of what the igboman has turned the land into before selling the land,these groups are usually pained and will seize the slightest opportunity to reclaim their lands.

The jealous:
these groups are not entirely poor,but just don't like the idea that they have to pay rent to an Igboman in their own land,or that an Igbo man owns a huge investment,they are quick to generalize and call him or her a drug dealer,and all sorts of character defamation techniques,to justify their assertion.you can imagine what this group will do if the opportunity to turn back the hands of time surfaces.

The lazy:
traders and touts make up this category.they don't like competition,For example,while I was in ogun state,if you go to the popular omida mkt or kuto mkt at Abeokuta,the traders do not like to look for change,you buy something of #50 and give #200,next thing you hear is "mi o ni change"(you begin to wonder if #200 is that much).
But a typical Igbo man or woman will look for change,some igbos don't even have shops but they always have all the good you came to buy(oso-afia).that's the hustling spirit,no need to be jealous.

The insecure:
This group comprises of the politicians and low self esteemed people,they are not happy with the idea that an Igboman heads/represent a constituency,forgetting that a great % of igbos make up Lagos,which was a former capital and a very diverse state.these groups are worried about the uncertainty of their future,with the presence of the igbos.

All these groups have one thing in common,they all scream one nigeria when it suits them.
I advice that if you fall into any of these categories,it's not too late,spend more time on how you will also make yours,instead of screaming igbos should leave SW and NORTH.

They see the uncontrolled trend of mass migration into Lagos and are aware of its negative impact which we are already witnessing e.g.

(1) Overcrowding

(2) Rapid degredation of infrastructure

(3) Increase in crime rate.

(4) Environmental degradation, poor sanitation and increase in pollution.

(5) Stretching of the state's finances and resources till it reaches levels of diminishing returns.

We're just lucky that we've had good goverance since 1999.

The State was almost a social and environmental disaster waiting to happen. That has been postponed but if the migration trend doesn't reduce or is reversed, it's results won't be nice.

The government should develop igbo land? What about the monthly allocations to the eastern states? See brother, i did a national program in enugu, served in Oyo State and currently work in lagos, the truth is the igbos are the ones underdeveloping the east by running away immediately they are of age. Yorubas dont like leaving their region so they are constrained to develop the place and same goes for the northerners safe their shoe makers and mai guard etc.

The igbos need to go back to the east and develop the place or they risk altercations with yorubas soon due to the continuous influx of economic migrants from the east. Nigeria is a jungle and all tribes fight for what they have. The onus and responsibility falls on the igbos to develop their region because there is nowhere like home.

The last time i checked, the Oil belongs to the South SOuth, so why arent they the ones insulting and flooding our states? like i have said before, the igbos will be the onea to bear the brunt of the fall out of the mass migration west ward when the very poor of the yorubas feel they cant take it anymore.
