| Re: Federal Roads: FG Begs States To Take Over by Checked86: 8:21am On Jul 21, 2016 |
Unbelievable. The states that hardly pay their workers salaries are now been asked to repair roads owned by the same Federal government that they(the states) run to for bail out. It does not add up. I think this government is filled with people that count their fingers before they add up. |

Basic problem is oil prices have fallen down, so everyone has to bear some of the burden. Increased taxes coming up next. |

Pavarottii:Simple!!! I think that God is answering our prayers. We will surely get there. Nigeria will be restructured and the enormous powers at the center reduced. |

Anticorruption:the question is how the FG will pay back n as wen due. Not to start harassing the state gov wen the ask for their money with DSS n fictitious lies. But the FG can take over the resources of the States. |

bettercreature:Who will manage the toll gate? Rewind 1999, The toll gate in my state was given to a serving minister and I was told it was the norm then. Politicians hijacked it before OBJ removed them. I suggest we really solve our monetary crises and also solve the fiscal problems we have. One sure way of doing that is by giving more responsibilities to the states/regions. The state can either construct the roads with tax payers money or concession them to foreigners who will now put tow gates. Summary is Restructure Nigeria. |

FG Should Also Beg States To Take Over Resources In Their States |
| Re: Federal Roads: FG Begs States To Take Over by Temptee101(m): 8:42am On Jul 21, 2016 |
The FG want the states to take over the repairs of Federal roads yet the same FG is still against restructuring. Isn't that absurd? |
| Re: Federal Roads: FG Begs States To Take Over by tinktanker: 8:44am On Jul 21, 2016 |
FG running from its responsibilities gradually, like a weak man dat cannot provide for the family. Despite collecting our N50 forcefully from our bank transaction. Soon they will force us to contribute to the FG. Apc shame |

| Re: Federal Roads: FG Begs States To Take Over by oshoa: 8:45am On Jul 21, 2016 |
This is interesting and I think it is high time Federal govt look into so called NURTW . This association collect Money from millions of commercial vehicles, keke Napep, Okada, lorries and other forms of transportation. All sources of money they collect at every bus stop and garage, who is collecting the money and for what purpose. Passengers suffer high fare due to all this collection and still the money are used for nothing but chairman money, security money, etc..... I will advise federal government to give construction of road to daily money generated from commercial transportation through NURTW. |

| Re: Federal Roads: FG Begs States To Take Over by mmsen: 8:47am On Jul 21, 2016 |
Bolustic:It isn't about GEJ but it is about the current clueless administration. In the past state governments would work on FG roads in the knowledge that they would be reimbursed. The states know that they will not be reimbursed by this administration, especially when there are noises that the FG cannot even fulfil its contractual obligations with its own direct employees. The FG wants to divest itself of responsibility but doesn't want to hand resource control to productive states - does that make sense to you? |

Checked86:The FG can't pay salaries either. The FG hasn't dealt with insecurity and now can't deal with the roads. At least the good states take care of their roads. Until Nigeria stops relying on the resources of 9 states to subsidize the other 27 this nonsense will keep happening. Sai Baba, now you can all see what I was saying two years ago - this man is not fit to run a bath. |
