Before upgrading to Windows 10, please google and read up about Windows data harvesting.

This is the version of MS Windows till date that harvests lots of your data, though the goal seem benigh i.e. to give you "a personalized operating system", but if you are big on privacy, window 10 might not be for you. Yes, you can disable some of the privacy leaks, but don't count on it that, you will be able to disable 100% of them.

I like the win10 os and its all but I'be nva for once upgrade to it. Reason is simple my printers stop working with my pc back den wen I upgraded to win 8 not to talk of win 10. With my window 7 am good to go on anything except if the new versions comes with all features (let's say for cheaper Amt) that I won't have to be downloading drivers here and there before things can work normal on a single system.

And for those that incidentally upgraded theirs.
I turn off dat notification the very first day I saw it.
Even window updates are turn off to avoid story and breakheart story......

Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth > Put it on > Then Send or Recieve files ...... To recieve, you have to first search on your phone for the laptop name ( not the normal connect automatically stuff ) ....

If that doesn't work, then update the bluetooth drivers

Lol, which of them are not data harvesters, Android that you are using is the worst culprit and you are still using it. Apple own na another level. Microsoft just entered the game late so no big deal

pls if I upgrade to Windows 10 from my Windows 8 will I be able to use my utility disc my driver again? since it's for window 8 or there is away to be utility disc for window 10? pls I don't want loose my OEM windows on my Dell inspiron

It's got no security issues. I've used Windows defender from day one without another antivirus app installed & it's perfect

You don't need to be updating everyday, just go to settings and set the notification to at least a week

windows 8.1 still rocks my world and I am still loving it. I ha haven't finished learning how to use windows 8 & 8.1 they are bringing windows 10. And for those that are busy upgrading to windows 10 without doing any research make una continue. Google the disadvantages of upgrading to windows 10 and I think you will be better off with your current operating system.

Am sure you're playing cracked games & probably got patches installed too. It's most likely caused by your antivirus or Windows defender coz they see the cracks & patches as viruses, malware.
Solution: always install all your games in a single game folder then except that folder from being scanned by your antivirus/Windows defender or check your display drivers like someone pointed out

I'm dead scared of viruses. Since I've not been able to back up my most important stuffs.

I have both the windows 7 and 10 on same computer, and I usually switch from one to the other side. I plan formating the system soon and I have no idea whether I can still keep the windows 10 free license given or whether it would vanish. Anybody know what to expect?

You can get it for free on Torrent sites, don't pay for it.

True you can download the installer file but you can't install offline so therefore the deadline still persists

Windows 10 has been in use for almost 2 years that's including is preview era, don't tell me hackers still haven't gotten a hang of it. Antivirus apps are overrated, I stopped using em since 2014 & solely rely on Windows defender and don't get any issues.

Mind you, you're not supposed to be running another antivirus programme if Windows defender is activated
