There shouldn't be an issue but just know that you won't receive update anymore on Win7... In other words, Win7, Win8 and 8.1 have been discontinued... Only Win10 will be updated for necessary bugs fix..

That's a huge deal for me, not sure about U...

Modified: TBH, if you listen to what people says about their issue, you might never want to update to Win10 (u are on that path already anyway).. The OS comes completely with new updated system that you will need to fix with just updating your drivers.. A single Intel Graphic Driver fix 100% of everything for me.... But if your PC comes with Windows 7 out of the box, I won't advise updating to Win10.. Unless you are running on high end PC.

6hours to 3 hours and not even 4hours, that's too poor. Well i guess this should be fixed in subsequent Update. You should always activate your battery saver and deactivate Cortana by switching off your location and possibly other background softwares and see if there will be any improvement.

Three point summary of the whole information is:
1. The free upgrade offer ends on July 29 and will not be extended.

3. There is a possibility that Microsoft will introduce some new upgrade offers after July 29, but don’t count on it.

We believe one of Microsoft’s goal with this upgrade offer isn’t just to get its installed Windows 10 base to a billion, they also want to reduce the number of PCs running on Windows 7 in an orderly fashion before its extended support commitment ends on January 14, 2020. Some people still use the “dead” windows XP; millions of users (especially here in Nigeria) are still running windows 7 on their PCs and don’t care about a newer operating system. For this set of persons, Windows 7 is perfect, and so they can’t find a reason for new operating system upgrade.
On the other hand, the free upgrade offer never really applied to large businesses that run Windows Enterprise editions. For those customers who also have purchased Software Assurance for those volume licenses, the Windows 10 upgrade offer is, if not free, at least already paid for. The decision of whether and when to upgrade is driven by business needs, not by the cost of an upgrade license.

I also tried upgrading directly on the website, it will download everything completely, but Upon installation, same error message,


I have wasted over 10gb, am not upgrading again.
