Stop comparing America with Nigeria. The civilians that wears military uniforms there, how many times have you heard they were caught committing crime with the uniform? In Nigeria, people can dress in military outfit to scam unsuspecting victims of their hard earned money posing as an officer to assist them with a slot in defence academy and other recruitment. Some go to the extent of collecting money from people to help them recover their debt from their debtors. Others will pretend to be real soldier offering you an assistance only to end up robbing you. With the present security situation in the country citing boko haram and Niger delta crises, we must differentiate impostors from the real soldiers. Don't you know in Nigeria where we don't have a security, you are endangering your life by putting on any of the military uniforms as a civilian. Should there be any crises, you will be a prime target. All this things you don't see them in America. People wears them there in solidarity to their forces as a way of recognizing them and not using it to commit a crime.

I was a soldier for 12yrs. One thing you know is that, because of the security situation in the country, soldiers are very much conscious of their lives when on any military outfit not to talk of a civilian. There are places a soldier cannot enter with his uniform. He uses his sense to know where danger is lurking and tried to avoid them. Once in that uniform, you are an instant target.
