In as much as there are criminal elements there, there are definitely Nigerians there whose quest to source for daily bread placed them in that location.

Govt should also pursue a policy of deterring and exposing the people, firms, syndicates or whatever that buy this illicitly oil. If we had good intelligence organizations, we'd already know all the forces involved in destroying our oil industry so that they can steal our oil piecemeal as resources were stolen in central Africa by France.

At a modest level, Nigerians buy some of these products. This should be discouraged, even so there's no call for the oil to be sold all over West Africa in the black market. Government agents should be sent to stop the practice,wherever....far cheaper than ordnance.
