ukay2: Thanks bro... I have learnt a lot from this Thread and from you all! That lady with the SCB rates really did us well...I hope she will continue to post a lot more often. CBN wants the FPIs to come in with their dollars so we expect the market to remain this "bearish" for a long time....maybe till December. |

T-bills worth NGN245.18bn was sold today and an over-subscription in excess of NGN246.35bn was recorded. The stop rates for 91 days, 182 days and 365 days were 15.44%, 18.06% and 18.50% resp. Lol. Na wa sha. 2 Likes 1 Share |

tolutweety:T-bills (et Fixed Income asset class) works inversely with the Equities market. One goes up, the other comes down (not all the time though), so one cannot just come and be going up like that na. Lol. How market?. 1 Like 1 Share |

This is exciting for me because this is the first time that I will quote my own rate; I have always gone with the bank rate. In a little way, it also taught me to take more calculated risks. tolutweety: Judging from past trends in the 3rd qtr of 2014 & 2015, the rates went to about 16% remained steady and began to drop to as poor as 7.25% early this year. Currently due to the enticing rates, the market is already getting saturated and the rates have higher tendencies of dropping than increase. Even if it increases, I don't think it will get to 20%. Rather it will be steady and gradually reduce. Other money market placements need to thrive as well, the appreciation of their rates correlates with this. It's all a circle. 2 Likes 1 Share |

DMerciful:i don't know ooo. I used first bank and normally you cannot bid in first bank. you must go by dia rate. I hope dia rate is up to 15% for 91 days. I hv also be debited but no credit alert yet. |

I submitted bid for 364 and 91 days at Stanbicibtc bank. I went with the bank rate but I have not received any information and I have not been debited. This is my first ntb hope all is well |
