2. “Privacy”

You want them to give you privacy in their own house? You want them to knock before they enter your bedroom? You’re a joker. You will get privacy when you move out and marry.
This one causes regular war between my dad and I.

African parents sha. Some persons will say it is discipline, training bla bla bla. All lies, how disciplined are we when we grow up. A white man is far more disciplined than a typical Nigerian man. Al this upbringing just make us hard hearten and stubborn. Speaking from experience!

u re speaking from your own experience.
african upbringing is still d best and d problem we have
these days is.because we try to be like.the whites and refuse
parental advice.

Bro, as far as I'm concerned Nigerians are not disciplined. Our attitude at ATM stands, the way we handle public equipments and facilities, and all that says it all. A Nigerian man hardly does the right thing at his own will. So now tell me how this so called disciplined instilled in us by our parents manifest?

If you take a curious look at the failings in morals in our society, then you'll agree our parents style of discipline hasn't really worked. I'm sorry.

Make una take am easy, i love you, please, sorry, thank you, hugs and kisses and a lot of positive reinforcement are part of the new 9ja parenting.

Social workers are now halarin 9ja parents if they hear that you discipline your children as a result of this stereotypes.

hahahahaha!!! The privacy got me laughing really hard! I remembered that whenever I tell my mum I want to dress up, she be like. " what do you want to hide that I have not seen before".

No matter what you do at home, it is not considered as work. You don't even have the right to be tired. frustrating!!
