The Nigeria team at the Rio 2016 opening ceremony marched in sweats, tracksuits because official outfits didn't make it to Rio.

This was revealed in a tweet by Sports Illustrated senior writer covering Rio Olympics, Alexander Wolff. See photos of previous official outfits below:

Is it the direct responsibility of the president?,when there re other pressing and more important matters to attend to. I noticed that tracksuits and thought it was a bit odd but I wasn't surprised, given all the issues leading up to the Olympics.
My issue is we never learn from the past and expect miracles to happen.

Nigeria once play a football match with tracksuit trousers cut with scissors. What is left in our memory is the victory and not the outfit.
Even if they wear Secondary school uniform, what matters most is their performance.
Hopefully, these delays, errors and ill-preparedness will spur the team to attain greater heights
