This governor is very funny, what I see there cannot even feed Anambra for a month talk more exporting it. Mazi Obaino feed your state first b4 u think of exporting ish, don't starve those hard working dudes in the name of I must export. My opinion thou.

you are so funny starvation in Anambra? Hahahaha. Let me educate you. ANAMBRA civil servants receive salaries on or before 31st, agriculture is now a main stay in anambra through World bank and Fadama partnership with Anambra state govt. This has created jobs cos ppl work as staff monitoring farmers etc and they are well paid. Rice is cheapest in Anambra compared to other states. This agric project is on the rise and gash u will wonder what a state Anambra will turn into after next farming season cos we are venturing big time into other crops next year! Anambra adigo nma

It is the next administration that will tell us the true position of things.

An investigative journalist may wish to look into this.

In basic economics we are taught that export is mostly surplus to need but then Nigeria has a way of turning things on its head.

It is well with Anambra state, miss Oraifitie.

Anambra Export rice and Ugwu, as propagandish as APC's promises. We've not met enough local demand, especially as rice has become suddenly so expensive, these ones are talking of export. Why not meet the supply glut first and let a lot of Nigerians benefit cheaply before you talk of exporting the surplus?

I wish they can sell the same rice to Nigerians instead of claiming they are for export. Is it any better than the rice from the other countries that have been exporting for years? Why try to compete in an already choked international market when you have one right in front of you waiting for same goods?

Lord knows I should have bought our rice in July when a bag was 13k5. I was shocked when my usual seller told me it was 18k -17k last. When I asked him about all the 7k rice and those from anambra he laughed for almost minute and added:
" OGA, you better buy this rice now o, you know sey I tell you make you buy the last time you sey you dey wait make the price fall"

The seller is from anambra!
undecided

The only rice being consumed in my house is Anambra rice. We prefer it because it is very healthy, not over per boiled and still contains a lot of fibre and vitamins. Oh! I forgot to mention that it swells up a lot. A bag of it can last for up to 7 months for a family of 6.

For those of you claiming that the ugu export is fake because of the mix up in the pictures, please go to Anambra and see for yourself.

God bless ndi Igbo for all of us oo.

This should be encouraged....every state should go into large scale agriculture. It will help every state to generate income and not depend too much on the FG

[size=13pt]The Governor of Delta state Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa should stop complaining of dwindling revenue.

He should study what Governor, Willie Obiano of Anambra state has done and try to reinvent it in Delta state to drive economic activities in Delta state forward.

Deltans are tired of his smart agenda rhetoric. We want ACTION in Delta state.

We want "TALKI NA DO"

Okowa stop waiting for federal revenue. Looking inward in Delta state.

Good news. Be it known to you that as its good and accepted at the international market, its also good for local market consumption. However, the evil powers in som places in Nigeria will come up with all propaganda's to kill the projct if local market is the main concentration. Now that its accepted at international market, the local market has no justification to conderm it. With time, both markets will benefits from the products. God bless the land producing those rice more than ever before in Jesus name,Amen.
