So i have been seeing a lot of discussions on EBF and a question came to my mind.

What if a mama has made plans on doing EBF say for 3 or 6 months, and for some reasons her BM doesn't start flowing immediately after birth and the baby has to be formula-fed pending when BM starts flowing. Can she stop the formula and start the EBF when BM starts flowing, or it doesnt count as EBF anymore because she had to do the formula feeding previously?

Its still possible to do EBF even if your BM doesnt start flowing immediately. I bet most mamas here, their BM didnt start flowing that very first day and they gave either formula or water, pending when it flows.
It happens especially in cases where the baby was born via CS.

Infact, formula is part of the things written on my hospital list, just incase your BM doesn't start flowing immediately.

In my case, i couldnt sit up for the first 24hours so there was no way i could have fed my baby. So he started with formula, until BM started flowing the next day.

Enque I don't think it will be appropriate to call it exclusively breast fed! Maybe just breast fed.

D satchel water u considered unsafe is safer than d so called bottled water many opt for. Satchel water from the begging of production till is packaged does come in contact with anything but the bottled water is d same water filled in d satchel, which is then capped by d production workers. In most cases strict personal hygiene is nth maintained, some of this workers can be a carrier of disease causing microbes and are easily transferred into d water.

To me I don't think the weight is too much cos I don't even like big babies,BUT you have to start reducing your carbohydrate intake that is if you have not started already cos it is at this time babies add weight,but in all people still birth 4.5 kg babies so I believe you

My MIL babysits my dd when I'm at work. My office is just a stone throw away from her house.
She took her out today to her niece's house ( my husbands' cousin) and my dd started crying so she breastfed her.
This is a baby that is 7 months old and has started semi solids.
So you see, I don't want to talk because it involves my MIL.

Just because my dd was crying. Seriously? I was told she rejected the breast but was forced to take it.

Peggygee scan EDD is usually based on the EFW(estimated fetal weight) of your baby. So if your baby is big, it moves your EDD forward and vice versa.
Id say, stick with your LMP but know that if baby gets too big your doctor might decide to induce you earlier. But people don born 4.6kg babies vaginally so you are good.

That's how one Nanny breastfed one baby, they nearly lost d baby cos d child has never been breastfed before as in d mother died during his birth, so he has been staying with his aunty from day one and d aunty use to take him to a babysitter where she days 10k monthly, it was when d baby started falling sick and loosing weight that they discovered what actually went wrong.

She has absolutely no reason to breast feed. Absolutely no reason at all.

Is your baby on formula? What happened to giving her that ? Even ogi (as much as I detest it) would have sufficed for a child that age if they were out of options on what to feed her.

My daughter is 7 months old.
There is just no justification for her action. Im not sure how my husband would react.
