Won't the private investor recoup their capital back. This is what private, public partnership entails.

Why is it, if it's the Eastern roads, it will be PPP but for other roads especially those in the north, you hardly hear PPP? Enugu-Onitsha will be tolled, the proposed Niger Bridge and it's road will also be tolled etc. Are the easterners not part of the entity called Nigeria which provides basic amenities virtually free to the north and other southern states? When the easterners cry marginalization, I could see what they really mean.

Lagos -Ibadan expressway will also be tolled... ALL MAJOR interstate roads are billed to be tolled.

It won't only provide us smooth roads but better security on the roads as well as refuse collection/drainage maintenance.

Lagos -ibadan (sw) didn't make a fuss about the tolling that will be done once the road is completed but here you are moaning.

I dnt really know whether u guys understand what they said here, if it been done by Chinese, its not the government or past but the users of that road that will pay for it for many years. That's to say if you are from enugu u must pay money to Chinese be4 you travel back to your home..so for you guys argument of who did it, it not even Chinese but the igbos who use the road by paying toll gate fee.. this gov. Dont contribute a thing.

No toll on that road please. The only thing that would make a car freak like me consider paying toll on the highway are if the Chinese build it like the Autobahn A5 between Cologne and Frankfurt , and if i am able to purchase a BMW M3. Would be pure fun doing the 100km highway in 20 minutes. What else??

bro if tolling would bring about the Fed roads in the south east being rehabilitated, then the should go ahead. here in aba the federal roads are very terrible.

Truth be told, GEJ did nothing in the SS and SE to get the number of votes he got from these regions.

It also seems all Fashola knows when it comes to road construction is toll. Tolling that I know of in other countries is done to manage traffic but our own is to pay back for the road. Tolling from other countries is a city or state arrangement, not a federal one. We always put the cart before the horse in Nigeria.
