The igbos hatred for Buhari is second to none. How will a sane person give a dog a whole president and commander in chief's name? This is the after effect of the negative messages Nnamdi kanu preached on his useless radio. He taught most of them to disrespect the president all because of their useless biafra agitations. I suggest this man be locked up and the keys thrown into the Atlantic Ocean. This will serve as a lesson to other unpatriotic IPOB yoots who found mentorship in Nnamdi kanu. How will the Igbo's feel if one names a goat Ojukwu? Biafra will never come sad
like ur name sounds dickrider expect nothing bt nonsense 4rm u. wetin concern Nnamdi KANU,ipob nd dog nw

And no commentor above has said anything about the il/legality of the arrest.

Since when did it become a crime to tag a pet any name whatsoever?

Since when did it become a crime to wear the name tag or inscribe the name on the pet's skin?

This is 21st century; anyone can name their pet whatever they choose. And this is the Southwest for fnx sake not the North; I don't see how this is inciting.

Sometimes, I just wonder if Nigerian institutions are meant to serve the North -- see how the police were quick detained the man beyond 24 hours & stepped further by transferring him to a higher station.

Where the lawyers dey o, help me understand this matter abeg.

Stupid man, av u heard of the Americans doing such things even though it is believed they proclaimed the highest human rights in the world?

Amala sophistication. grin
Honestly, I've been watching this government closely and have been telling myself to wait till 2019 and see what they'll achieve without leaning on any side. I, and mist Nigerians, just want good governance. However, we can't accept tyranny. If this is how the police force is going to be run now then Nigeria needs a serious revolution. I mean, on Malia Obama's birthday she got called over 100 species of monkey on her Facebook page and her dad is the most powerful man in the world. The names republicans call this man EVEN TO HIS FACE has not gotten any of them arrested. I'm honestly disappointed and I hope Nigerian youths can finally stand up and say enough is enough by 2019

He can name his dog as he likes. When such action was purposely done to provoke his neighbors which will lead to an ethno-religious crises, he has crossed the line.

This is just like me making a video showing myself tearing up and burning a Quran and saying "Hey, I bought it with my money" and not expect the DSS to breaking my effing door in

it's still not illegal oga, this isn't a police matter, naming a dog buhari for any reason is not crime under the Nigerian Constitution, just like burning a Quran isn't, both might incite feelings of anger in the feeble minded, religious extremist but that doesn't make it illegal, after all we supposedly still have freedom of expression in this country.

Must the idiot use his freedom to breach peace. Even went ahead to paint the body of the dog with the name. It shows his intention of mockery.

Igbos are trouble makers. How on earth can you name your dog Someone father's name boldly written on its body and you are parading their vicinity with the same dog and you don't expect to provoke their anger?

I read one of his brother in the usual igbos ways of claiming victims said his brother was being victimized for unjust cause, he buy a dog and name it with their father's name written on its body and be parading it around.

No wonder the hausas slaughter them like suya every now and then.

OBJ bought a chimpanzee last time and named it 'patience', was he arrested? NO!!!

A mere man on the street was arrested for naming his pet dog 'Buhari', not even 'PMB', that would have been outrageous. What if he had named his shop Buhari, he would be arrested too? Did anybody trademarked 'Buhari'? Is the name Buhari an intellectual property? Anyway, anything that will break this evil nation apart, I'm in support of it.
