another 2 years wasted because he was bold!!!!....nothing will change..the system is messed up
I just hope it won't waste coz 2yrs is a lot.

I think if he fights it, it can be reversed.
Creating awareness for him will go a long way coz he didn't do anything wrong.

Criticising a vested system virtually without mask when he had very many choices of anonymity was very embarassingly amateur.

So Idoro and Oyekan are now professors?

You could literally sleep off in his boring lectures!

I actually helped Idoro to get his PhD back then; we got marks for helping him fill his questionnaires......

As for Oyekan that one is just a religious zealot who wants to be feared than anything else.....

This happened wayback sha, 2002...

If someone could be on his way to jail for naming his late pet "Buhari" then whatever action taken by UNILAG senate would be justified.

Nigeria needs prayers or else all of us will one day gagged.

Truly, A pen is mightier than the sword!

It is this kind of article I read and nod my head in approval. Femi, you did well. We need vocal youths in this country, youths that will speak against wrong and injustice. He's only made simple demands and old profs are threatened, they can't handle minor criticism like this. I pity them!

The same reason why the then VC of my school disapproved of SUG during his tenure. Those at the corridor of 'education' really need to be told the bitter truth. They've got to suck it up and deal with it.

what master are you talking about sir?

There is nothing wrong in criticism, it's high time we stopped swallowing our emotions,

If we don't, we might end up being swallowed one day.

They create rules unfavourable to us, when we complain nd call for a dialogue Ego won't let them honour the invitation.

When we protest they tag us rebels xo what they actually want?

To swallow every pin nd nail nd act like zombies

What is the meaning of democracy?

wow! sinaj! is this you?! shocked shocked shocked

abeg! who help me see the original sinaj? this one here is making too much sense today o!

you know a lot of our so called nigerian youth have lost their sense of belonging to the abyss of ignorance. You can't blame most of them, they grew up in a broken system and their parents don't have any positive to bestow on them so they keep wandering like lost sheep. It is actually a shock to their system when they encounter upright and straight-forward thinking on basic rights. I am glad there are still some like you with functional thinking process.

your intelligence is just shining through on this thread! marry me now! biko!!

Law 1: Never outshine the Master, unless he's a falling/fallen star... then you push him over the cliff..... He broke that

Law 26: Keep Your Hands Clean which includes: 1. Conceal Your Mistakes-Have a Scapegoat Around To Take The Blame and 2. Make Use Of the Cat's-Paw
He broke the two, and now he's breaking Law 4: Always say less than necessary and also Law 9: win through actions never through argument

well written but harsh...90 percent of our lecturers need to be re-certified.their archaic brains and mentality need serious update.they reduced demselves to lecturing only, instead of both lecturing and research.i see no reason y we should be having 'define....',state...',what is....'iin 21st century.

They are one of the reasons y graduates are bcoming worthless to d society and graduates can read ans comprehend simple articles on nairaland.they will rather troll on articles

Exams in nigeria are meant to suffer students instead of testing or 'certifying' their knowledge on the subject.

The ironic part is: the writer composed a well researched article, which most of his lecturers wont be able to do.instead of dem to use this article written by this intelligent(who was able to identify the problems of the institution) and make amendments dat will restructure d school.they decided to rusticate him......they would rada frolick with bleached and sex-ridden females students of unilag
