Hi Ashiraj....

Congrats for a successful application. PLEASE, others here would like to learn from you. Did you explicitly state you were going to give birth in Canada in your application? did you do paper/online route? THANKS

@ashiraji, please kindly help with this response. I have read through this thread and no one has ever been really explicit about this. Was it paper or online? and how exactly did you write it. Thanks for your help

This is the precise problem i faced when i started frequenting this particular forum. On the "Giving birth in US" thread, you are explicitly warned NEVER to lie about your intentions to deliver there. Here, i kept asking and asking....from the evasive responses i got, i just decided to apply for Tourist Visa, go very early and deliver there. I haven't gotten a response from CIC yet.

Ashiraji is the very first person i have seen who actually declared her intentions....i am very curious and wish to learn from her experience, i am sure it would be beneficial for future applicants.

Good luck friends....waiting period is now 105 days! angry angry angry

It depends on your airline policy. I flew KLM last year and they didn't ask for it, but it pays for you to have it

Good Morning to all the ladies in this group.

@ajobi, please did you encounter any issue at the point of entry? Were you asked about the purpose of your visit to Canada? If yes, what response did you give?.

Thanks as I await your response. Meanwhile, I intend submitting my Visa application in Sept.

Wow!!! Lucky you chizzybaby247. Could you confirm if you went to Canada last year or this year?

I have ready a lot of things on this forum especially POE. So scary and discouraging for one to be sent back if your intention was not accurately disclosed.

Hello All and congratulations to those who just got their visas. Wish you the best and tap into your blessings.

Please can anyone help me with exchange rate for Canadian dollars and where I can check (probably online) on my own to always get the current rate? I'm drawing up my budget and counting the cost before embarking on the project.

Thanks a million as I await your response(s).

Hello forumites,

Please I need further explanation about paper application. Can I just fill downloaded forms and walk into the embassy any day to submit? Or is there a particular day for submission please. Because I don't live in Abuja or Lagos and will have to plan the trip.

Also, after submission I wait indefinitely to be asked to submit passport?

Thanks for your help.
