Currently many are complaining of not receiving messages sent to their line, but we have found a solution.

Since last week, many MTN lines no longer receive all messages sent to it, this is as a result of newly introduced DND (Do-Not-Disturb). We found out that MTN on their own restrict some users ability in receiving messages sent to their lines even when they never option in to DND. Many people do not receive all messages because of this act.

To resolve this, you have to do the following.

Activate DND by sending STOP to 2442.
You will receive a successful message like this.

"You have successfully activated the Do-Not-Disturb service on your line. Please visit https://donotdisturb.mtnonline.com:8081/vasportal or SMS HELP to 2442 to see more filtering options. You can also opt out at any time by sending ALLOW to 2442"

After that send ALLOW to 2442
You will receive a message like the one below.

"The Do-Not-Disturb service has been successfully deactivated for your number. Thank you."

Your line will be reset to previous state, your line will now be receiving SMS sent to it.

To filter spam calls and Messages, download call and message blocker application.

Inform others because they will be missing out of important messages if the above isn't done on their MTN line.

so that MTN can keep disturbing with their unsoliticited advert sms again. I can't jeopadize the peace and tranquility I have tasted after getting free of their sms clutches. They waste about 40% of my battery before and now I have been putting that 40% saved to judicious use here on Nairaland.

MTN promo messages are NEVER blocked or filtered. Read previous thread.

I hit on your chat now button and one clement responded and after narrating the ordeal to him he did nothing than to dignify me with no response, same thing again this morning. I have a platform i am using before now, i migrated to your platform because you are a nairalander and right now am regretting that move... So pissed right now!

Provide your account username, your number and the sender ID that's showing block ID.

See this reason why DND is not advisable to be active on your line.
