So I and DH got married in April, and we got a BFP in May.
We never had a honeymoon because we both had to go back to work immediately after our wedding (I lost that job a week later though)

Dh has always been unhappy that we never had the honeymoon that we planned. And now I'll be 20weeks 2mrw and dh has planned a 4day trip to dubai as a make up for the honeymoon that we never had. 

The issue is, I'm still having morning sickness. I still throw up practically everyday and I still get exhausted easily though I have realized that if I eat often through out the day, I always feel a lot better

Truth is, if we don't take this trip now, we probably never will as dh is always super busy at work and i know once the baby comes, we will be too busy taking care of him.

So I wanna ask able mamas here, is it safe for me to take this trip at this stage in my pregnancy?

Go for it my dear. Your ms is already under control....not as frequent as before. Truth is you might not have another opportunity for just the both of you again once the babies start arriving. I didn't get to have a honeymoon and up til today I sometimes feel resentment towards my dh whenever the topic is discussed

My oh my,morning sickness is really dealing with me,team April,una do o Hope you are not experiencing what am experiencing. Let me give you part,nausea,vomiting,weakness,loss of appetite,me that am complaining that am fat is now like a broomstick. Oh my oh my,when will i come to this thread and smile and open teeth na and comment without MS. The good thing i know is that it will only get better as the day goes. Did i forget to say that i have started spiting every now and then,God pls i need divine strenght o. The other day i was inside the vehicle and spat in the gutter by the roadside immediately i finished my boy spat exactly how i did and i felt embarassed,what is this boy doing? I couldnt beat him. Now i hide to spit and vomit even in my own house.
I pray for every woman experiencing MS that God will help us and see us through each day. Pls as soon as MS carry him load lets pop in more to make the thread lively.My captain Giddyperson and all my team mates i greet you.

Jazzyjazz other mums have spoken well. You don't need a fit to fly at 20 weeks to board an aircraft according to airline regulations, well except if you have had issues in your first trimester like bleeding or spotting. You will only need that sometime in your 3rd trimester when your bump is very big and visible

But it's not a bad idea to inform your doctor of your trip just incase he feels it's unsafe but I seriously doubt he will say that.

Pls enjoy your trip. You won't have this chance again in a very long time especially after baby comes since you have a busy husband

Just follow what sugah and AlphaHandMaiden said concerning your flight and comfort. They are great tips especially the part about having enough spit bags.

Jazzyjazz you've been adequately advised! Please take the trip and ask you doctor if it's OK for you to take pcm on the flight to avoid blood clots( which happens rarely but could) and try and get enough movement now and then to help with circulation.

Mamas that have not shopped may God make it easy for una o! Things are just doubling anyhow went there today again and my o my most of the stuffs we got 2weeks back have added like 1000-500 naira.

Like a mama suggested sometime back please don't be shy to ask relatives that have hung boot to help you to their baby things they no longer have need for, you can also get fairly used baby cot,pram,swings,clothes etc at the City of David charity shop! Called ITS NEW TO ME mist lekki VI and Ikoyi top shots donate their used items there and many are very hardly used and could pass as brand new. It's located opposite The Four Points hotel at Dideolu crescent on Oba Oniru estate besides Healing Strip hospital Maroko sandfield Victoria Island extension Lekki(the junction before the Admiralty circle plaza).

Just my two cents sha as country hard.

I have a question, please does this Shea butter cream (ori) really help with tummy stretch marks in pregnancy. I read somewhere that it helps some women? I don't have any marks yet at 25 weeks but I apply the local cream sometimes when i remember. Just want to know if it helps, won't whine if I still get marks at the end though. Senior mamas you know yourselves, please epp me e joo

Hi all, its been ages. I miss everyone here.
I just want to say something quickly. It takes guts for someone to come out here to ask for help. I personally think if you cant help, please ignore the plea. Don't kick a broken woman. Its not a good feeling. I remember years back I met someone here. She is the most liveliest person I've ever seen. Yet she was silently fighting her battles.( Pregnant and abandoned) She came here to have fun and be happy. When she asked for help she was thoroughly lashed. I reached out to her and discovered she wasn't even feeding well, she was squatting with a friend, hadn't registered for antenatal etc.

I'm saying all this so we can be careful with our utterance. I've known abundance and I've also known complete lack. A situation you don't even know where your next meal is coming from. I was smiling and putting up a happy face through it all. Nobody knew the challenges I faced. I'm very careful when it comes to things like this. I move on if I'm not touched to give but the last thing I will do is harass the individual involved.

One love my beautiful family. May God keep us all in good health and also meet us at the point of our needs.

Just like you said, you may never ever have time for it again after now. Even though you and DH can always make the trip some other time but I understand where your hubby is coming from, as in he wants the honeymoon trip not just any other trip. Cos if baby comes, that trip may not happen soon and if it does, then it won't be honeymoon again, it will now b family vacation cos baby have interfered
I understand what morning sickness do to people, you may not even feel like travelling, shopping, kpeks and all the plenty groove things your hubby will want for both of you.
Anyway, check your level of morning sickness and know if you can go through with the plan. But if he insist, follow him, then any day the MS hold you bad bad una go sitdown for hotel room, if E gree you, una go waka/groove. At the end of the day, I think he will be happy that he made it happen and not look back and feel bad about the whole issh. My opinion
