when reading the bible we're privy to a bunch of stories that seem like something straight out of a children's fiction story book. one of such stories is that of Joshua, who during a battle commanded the sun to stand still.
Joshua 10:13
So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.
Now how plausible does this event seem to a rational mind. First of all we know today that the earth revolves around the sun and not the other way around, and that the rotation of the earth is what causes night and day, but a couple thousand years ago everyone taught the sun revolved around the earth, hence the author of that part of the bible taught so too, thus the statement the sun stood still, how can someone inspired by an omnipotent God not know about the workings of our solar system. There are some that will argue that Joshua didn't literally mean the sun stood still and that he meant the earth stopped rotating, but anyone foolish enough to argue this point clearly doesn't know about the workings of our planet, the earth rotates at tremendous speed, yet we don't feel the movement, and though the earth is rotating if on were to jump up he would still land at the exact same spot, this is so because everything on earth moves in sync with the earth, and if the earth were to stop rotating for any reason, the earth would be subjected to wind speeds of over 300km this would render Joshua and his. Army and enemies dead. some will still argue that God will some how stop or control the winds, but the question is if he could do all that wouldn't it had just been easier to kill Joshua enemies.

lol. oya what's your argument then. That God would rather stop the earths rotation and all the catastrophe that would occur on a global scale, than just wipe out some mere mortals. Do you see how you bend logic to suit your faith.

No argument. It's pointless. That you're an atheist does not make you a better person than me neither does me being a theist make me better than you.

If God who created the heavens and earth could cause a donkey to talk, is stopping the rotation of the earth too hard for him to do?

What happened is nothing short of a miracle.
