please where is that found?
go to your battery optimization option in ur settings. It automatically optimizes some apps to save battery power u can turn it off for any app and leave it on for others according to your preference. Go to settings, click on apps, on the top click another option box then click battery optimization.

You see, most Android phones are not capable of multitasking in the real sense. In terms of hardware, Flagship Samsung and LG devices are the only major Android device that has been able to multitask (in form of split-screen): In terms of software, multitasking just came to Android devices recently (Android Nougat).
In most Android phones, when you open an app, it lodges some of its data on the RAM. When you think you're multitasking, you're only flipping through your recently opened apps, what you might call your 'minimize' button is just the overview button which shows you those apps actively logged on to your RAM.
Some applications take little space on the RAM, which is why you leave them and still meet them the way they are when you get back to them. most apps, however, would 'restart' as soon as you leave them.

That said, take it easy on your phone, nothing's wrong with it. If you want true multitasking, try getting a Samsung Galaxy device or an Android Nougat device.

Na lie oga.
Every android phone with 512mb ram and above can multitask. It all depends on the total size of apps opened in the background. Once it's greater than the ram then some apps will have to be terminated to make room for more ram space.
A better advice would be for the OP to get infinix phones or any android phone with 2GB RAM plus if he wants to get the best of multitasking.
I'm using infinix hot 4 with 2 GB RAM and I multitask frequently on it without lags.

Sometimes long post doesn't always mean facts. I almost thought you were making sense.

Uncle, well-done. I've got nothing much to say again. Of course I can't make sense to all the inhabitants of the earth, so, I would leave you with your opinions. If you think you're 'multitasking', fine! Mind you, my facts are straight.

It is disgraceful and ridiculous that you will say an Infinix phone is bad at Multitasking and what more you are comparing it with tecno which makes it obvious that you are already biased. Infinix still remains the best phone compared to all those Chinko phones now flooding the market, next time stop peddling lies, back up your claims with fact. Peace out!!

I have this infinix hot note2,just bought it a week ago and anytime I am playing a heavy game and I multitask to check my whatsapp messages, when I come back to the game it starts afresh.. .

Also other apps the same thing...
When I used techno s9 ,I would play a game (gta San Andreas) multitask and after thirty minutes come back to the game and meet it the way I left it. ..

Please who else is experiencing this coz it's so frustrating. ..

Please share cry

Stop misleading people. I'm making use of Infinix hot 3 Pro(2gig Ram). I can boldly say it multitask very well. I used to minimize apps for hours, and when I go back to them, they won't close.

When it comes to multitasking, Infinix is dope.

when you are talking about multi-tasking issues its a general thing ...... infinix has done well so far..i have used samsung s6 and there multitasking is also poor compare the price range ..so just because of multitasking you are asking people to stop buying infinix products ....you are sent by samsung to kill the reputation of infinix brand by spreading rumours.....samsung you are fighting for just made a bad product phone going burnt during charging....

Mr. Hot 3 pro, I greet you, It's funny I use hot 3 too! Like I would always tell people like you who thinks I'm saying rubbish, I'm not so concerned about convincing anyone on any matter. You, like others, are probably an everyday end-user of the product. So, Mr. Hot 3 pro, have fun 'multitasking' on your phone! It doesn't, in any way, banish the truth!

I think every person quoting you has the same misconception as I do; when you say 'multitasking', do you mean 'split-screen' operation as found on sammy flagships incld. the note series? you need to clear the air on that.
BTW, everyone has got a general unanimous definition of 'multitasking' which I, irregrettably, am also a part.

Hi there! I like your articulation, you inspire me to clear the air! You see, split-screen abilities is the true multitasking. Phones that have split-screen features are the true multitaskers. Multitasking, simply put, is working with two or more phone processes AT THE SAME TIME not minimizing one for the other.

Arguing with you is just like arguing with a stone.

If you think Hot3 pro isn't multitasking well for you, you can go buy Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. Simple!

That's why I never started any argument with you, because I knew you won't get it.

Seems you just heard the hot3 pro for the first time. Sorry.

And for the S7 edge, I didn't say you should go sell your property to buy it óô.

you seem to be confusing multiwindow mode of operation with multitasking. i agree that multiwindow multi tasking is a thing, but it is not the standard. multitasking simply means ability to efficiently do more than one thing at simultaneously. it doesnt matter wether the screens of both apps aare beside each other, or one in the bacckground and the other in the foreground, as long as both are kept active while switching from one to another, then you are multitasking

Hmmm. I get your point. Now lemme ask you, On a PC, which one amongst multi-window and app stacking on the RAM qualifies the machine as a multitasker?(since most, if not all modern PCs have both features) On mobile devices, the same question is asked. All computers have the ability to store data temporarily(which is why,of course, they've all got a Random Access Memory). Lemme put you through, Data is stored on the RAM so that it can be retrieved a short time later. When you start a process on your phone(open an application), It gets logged on to the RAM 'temporarily'; you could go on to other processes, the phone would 'remember' them. When you think you multitask, you're actually prompting your phone to 'recall' the data on its memory. It can only recall one process at a time for your use (which is why you 'minimize' apps for one another). All we do on our phones then, is recalling stored processes( in the name of multitasking), we can only actively work with one process at a time. Multi-window is ability of your phone to 'recall' two or more processes 'at the same time' for your use e.g. taking down a note while perusing Nairaland (done side by side). Multitasking, is the ability to execute two or more processes 'at the same time'

An analogy: We humans can walk and talk at the same time, that's multitasking. Yet we can't make or receive a call while driving: one has to be in foreground, the other in the background, you give your active attention to one and the other stays in your subconscious.

BOTH. imagine working on the office computer playing GTA, your boss passes by, you quickly 'minimise' and pull up microsoft excel, and when hes gone, you pick up from where you left off without re starting

On mobile devices, the same question is asked. All computers have the ability to store data temporarily(which is why,of course, they've all got a Random Access Memory). Lemme put you through, Data is stored on the RAM so that it can be retrieved a short time later.
TRUE

When you start a process on your phone(open an application), It gets logged on to the RAM 'temporarily'; you could go on to other processes, the phone would 'remember' them. When you think you multitask, you're actually prompting your phone to 'recall' the data on its memory.
Obviously.

It can only recall one process at a time for your use (which is why you 'minimize' apps for one another).
NO. it can 'recall' and 'execute' more than one process at the same time, if you want it to.

quick analogy: (1)you are playing music on your phone, (2) while downloading on UCbrowser, (3) channeling the whole thing through psiphon/simpleserver (4)then you have to reply a message on whatsapp (5)thereby pulling up the keyboard app too. so you see, its not just doing 'one thing at a time', like you think..... as long as all these processes can go on simultaneously, you are multitasking.

All we do on our phones then, is recalling stored processes( in the name of multitasking), we can only actively work with one process at a time.
as stated earlier, as long as any of these processes is not closed durin the operation of the other, you are multitasking.

Multi-window is ability of your phone to 'recall' two or more processes 'at the same time' for your use e.g. taking down a note while perusing Nairaland (done side by side).
I agree. but i think i also proved that 'having two apps on the screen' is not the only indication of multitasking.

Multitasking, is the ability to execute two or more processes 'at the same time'
TRUE. weather or not the two are on the same screen.

An analogy: We humans can walk and talk at the same time, that's multitasking.
TRUE.

Yet we can't make or receive a call while driving: one has to be in foreground, the other in the background, you give your active attention to one and the other stays in your subconscious.
WRONG! you can actually drive and receive a call, just make sure FRSC doesnt catch you. the reason why driving and calling are not adviced together is that the brain-power and concentration required has to be divided, and driving, being a very risky thing, shouldnt be toyed with.

finally, weather same screen or background, youre still multitasking. the only variable now is the amount of rescorces available per phone. Processor, RAM, and the host software. a 4gb ram phone with SB820 will multitask better than one with 1GB ram and SD400, also, you remember the memory leak that plagued touchwiz of samsung?? also a factor. same with lollipop on some devices.

sorry for the epistle.

Although, I still don't agree totally with you, I must say, your standpoint is very intelligent and well informed. I've learnt something: this issue of multitasking is very subjective, one should just be well informed about his/her views.
So, you're into tech stuffs? Are you a tech nerd? Mind a PM?
