The only way for former President Goodluck Jonathan and his accomplices to continue the misappropriations of the revenue allocations for defence is to worsen the Boko Haram insurgency and prolong the war regardless of the loss of thousands of lives and destruction of millions of valuable properties in the north east and the middle belt of Nigeria..

Buhari, the Indefatigable leader of our time.

Where others failed he has succeeded. Where others couldn't dare to venture into he has dared and ventured into.

Despite today's hardship, I have no doubt this man will eventually succeed. He doesn't shy away from taking tough decisions needed to put Nigeria back on track of progress and development.

The economy will turn around for the good and soon our fate/destiny will not be decided by crude price anymore.
I support your vision and dream. I know people like you and me will live to tell the tale of Great Nigeria

Truth234:
The finance minister is even worst, imagine in her last speech widely shared across social media. She speaks at length on why recurrent expenditure is our problem yet interest rates is 14%, how do you create jobs when interest rates is at all time high and they are borrowing aggressively, won't that be recurrent in future budget? Why can't we stimulate our economy from within and empower our people?

Now is the time to diversify, since Nigerians do not have the money to meet high foreign exchange rates. So local substitute goods will sell but government must allow local manufacturers access to cheap loans.
CBN controls interest rates -- watch the video where Adeosun ripped apart CBN raising rates.

Monetary policies are primarily CBN -- this is one of the core mandates of the CBN; to control prices and inflation.

Why would Adeosun and others turn around to condemn raising rates?

If you have substantial contrary info, kindly share.

Monetary Policy Implementation Committee (MPIC)

The Monetary Policy Implementation Committee (MPIC) was established at the 192nd meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) on 25th October, 2005. At inception, the membership of the Committee included the Deputy Governor (Economic Policy) as the Chairman, the Directors of Research and Statistics and Banking Operations Departments. Also, at its 10th meeting, the MPIC decided that the Director, Currency and Branch Operations Department be invited to guide the Committee on decisions and developments affecting currency in circulation. Let give Buhari the support he needs...agreed sometimes his utterances have been unfortunate...but we must understand that uneasy lies the head that wears the cap. Even Moses did lose his cool with the nagging and unruly nature of the children of isreal. It is rather unfortunate that most Nigerians in general and nairalanders in particular rejoice at every news of economic sabotage occasioned by activities of groups like NDA, only to turn around and complain of rising cost of living when they know that 80 percent of such hardship are directly caused by these elements who don't mean well for us. What a paradox!

The current hardship occasioned by his tough but correct decisions are prerequisite to make Nigeria experience the real growth and development.

Gold only becomes very valuable and admirable after passing through very high temperature. The higher the temperature at which it's heated, the harder it becomes, not the softer.

The president needs support of patriotic Nigerians.
a president that publicly divide his country needs, I think I will reserve my support till someone patriotic comes on board. past president won elections with vote coming from some certain section of the country yet no one of them divided the country privately or public like this dullard did.

Guy if Buhari has sacked Emefiele at the inception if his Admn, many Nigerians would have called for his head because CBN gov was GEJ appointee. He wants to be fair same way he was to the service chiefs including ex IGP. And besides it not easy to oust Emefiele. He needs 2/3 of Senate vote which I doubt the PDP Senators will give based on the composition of the Senate. That why Buhari needs the economy emergency rule. Then he can fire at will. Until then I see Emefiele going nowhere though I want him out.
Truth234:
He is currently afraid to sack both CBN Governor and Finance Minister, they both lacked recession technical know-how and has failed to proffer tangible solution.

Will you tell that to the average Nigerians even literate ones who blinded b unnatural bigotry that this recession isn't Buhari's fault rather crash in World oil prices and to some extent, years of unbridled corruption, wastages and now economic saboteurs from certain part of the country because of political leanings? Even the ousted political party are using it to campaign against the ruling party in Edo as if states under them ain't receiving bail outs. I weep for sheer gullibility of Nigerians who because of present challenges which the locust years of wicked administrations caused, want to return to "Egypt" for cucumber and lettuces against their foreseeable Canaan (brighter future).
Truth234:
This hardship is not caused by him but global oil glut, I won't blame him. But I will blame his financial team for not providing US blueprint like every normal sovereign nation.

My point is, he has taken certain decisions such as banning importation of some goods, removing subsidy from fuel, etc that have equally contributed to the hardship.
If you too export to those countries will you die?
