Aufbauh:She simply made the best that she could for the country out of an already totally corrupt system. If she had resigned like some of you suggest, she would simply have been replaced by a corrupt person that will not only allow the country to be robbed but will also lavishly make his/her own share of the robbery. Her job of a finance minister was not just about her and her dignity, it was about the country. She had two options, resign and risk a worse person being brought in to make a mess of what ever little gain that have been made or continue to push the country's economy as far as she could despite the clogs of corruption in its wheels. Valuable decisions are not only made on moral sentiments alone, there are made on practical expedience as well . Jesus Christ new Judas was stealing from the purse all the time but he ignored him and let him remain as one of his twelve even till the very end. Was christ morally weak for allowing a criminal to sit under him? Some times there is a more important purpose behind some decisions leaders make, even when they seem wrong at face value to the simple minded. By the way, capability does not stand on the shoulder of morality. |

However, Joda expressed surprise at Okonjo-Iweala’s, action of not resigning her position even when it became obvious that many people in the administration were not acting in good conscience. That is the only thing I have against this woman, she knew the high level of misappropriations and corruption but shielded herself with presidential approvals. She should have been bold to resign her position secretly even if she can not take the path of Lamido Sanusi who publicly draw public attentions to perceived irregularities under his watch. Today, even in the next thousand years, these two people will have their name and records in the history of this nation. Imagine coordinating a buoyant and financially stable economy that is borrowing to pay recurrent expenditure such as salaries as at the time she handling over the economy to the government. Going by financial records, the largest economy in Africa has been borrowing to pay salaries in staggered manner more than four months to the last administration tenure. This is the greatest economic scenarios that have been beating my imaginations recently. |

If she's not guilty, she's not guilty. The fear of Tyrant Buhari should coarse anybody into delivering a guilty verdict on her. |

paschal47:If they call her back, I promise to write a long and passionate letter to her to refuse the call. These people do not care about reputation. Moreso, she is part of the 5%ers- a people they hate. She should work for another African country if she wants. Not Nigeria. |
