I suspect Henri Miki will find it hard to get himself back in the team as he was obviously not fit and had a shocker. Jose probably won't forget that quickly going by his interview after the match. Lingerie was Joseph mistake because he shouldn't be having his first start of the season in a highly intense Derby like that. He probably needs a few more matches. Maybe he'll get another chance against feyenoord. Hope to see a few others get a chance in this match. Also the sooner Smalling and Bailey are allowed to develop a partnership the better.I like Blind but he should not be our first choice cb. |

![]() Guess you see the exclusion of Rooney as a good development? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Danhumprey: 3:46pm On Sep 14, 2016 |
Oasis007:Rooney being left out of the squad is no big deal. Mourinho can as well rest Ibrahimovic. My concern is him having the balls to bench Rooney in league games. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SIRcumalot: 3:47pm On Sep 14, 2016 |
Oasis007:previously wrote about darmain's exclusion but you already made the correction. concerning Rooney,he is too big for Europa unlike ibra and pogba dem. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 3:51pm On Sep 14, 2016 |
Oasis007:Yes, Shaw, Valencia, Rooney, Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Jones, are the major absentees. Shaw, Valencia, Rooney are likely rested. Valencia deserves it most. Shaw is recovery from injury. Mkhitaryan and Lingard were likely axed. Lingard will have to fight his way back into the team while Mkhitaryan will have to be gradually introduced into the team. Jones is either not selected or injured. Mkhitaryan, Lingard and Jones will have to start from the capital 1 cup. They have a long way to go now to coming back to first eleven. |

@elampiro, where's your guy Jones? Probably got injured while on his bed ![]() Jose wouldn't have travelled with Ibra. He's old, needs rest and only a game per week. |

Rooney might also be injured. That collusion with Bravo was heavy. |

sebod:Ok now, let us be frank and sincere, pogba is way below the league and quality of Rafinha. The acheivements of Rafinha is what pogba are still dreaming to get and he will never get it. Rafinha has won the champions league, club world cup, olympic gold medal. these are what pogba can never acheive unless he leaves manu and come to great great great great great Barcelona. |

saintfellow:So to be the best player you have to be in a team that wins trophies regardless of your contributions. I'd like to know hoe much contribution rafinha had in Barca let alone pushing for their titles won. Interesting how the brain of glory hunting barca supporters work. Going by this logic these guys last season who won all there is to win bar the champions league are the best in their positions and no one elsewhere is fit to lace their boots. Its much fun to stare at paint dry than to hear a uefalona fan make sense. All they know is to shout messi or msn...nothing else! joeace2020:Rafinha contributed in his own little way. whether you agree or not, the truth is that Rafinha has acheive what pogba is still dreaming to acheive, at least his trophy room dnt lie. |

LongD:He dominated in Eredivise and trust me that league deserves more credit than it gets. Depay has skills, lovely longshot and decent pace...I still believe in him, all he needs is confidence |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by LongD(m): 5:09pm On Sep 14, 2016 |
Wingback:I used to be a fan of the guy initially, in my mind he would be the next Ronaldo. But I have lost hope in the guy now he has potential but his decision making is poo. Instead of creating chances for others he will just cutinside and play a terrible shot. Anyway hope he improves but for now I don't see him benching even Ashley Young. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by joeace2020(m): 5:19pm On Sep 14, 2016 |
LongD:Depay will come good. Even though it hurts seeing that skilled young boy from psv who was destined for big thiings become almost like a liability to this team, i still believe Mourinho's desire to rotate and use a tiny squad that would die to win for him would go a long way in helping the lad. Last year we had a manager who knew how to yap about philosophy but didn't have one on the pitch...The loss of confidence in the boss spread to the team, the disenchantment was enough to cripple some young players, although some rose head high above it, some couldn't. But it would be much different now with Mourinho indicating how desperate he is to see him as well as the others getting into the heat of things. There is still big hope. |

THE ONLY PLAYER IN THE WHOLE OF THE MANCHESTER UNITED SQUAD THAT HAS ACHEIVE CLOSE TO WHAT RAFINHA HAS ACHEIVED AT BARCELONA IS ROONEY AND IBRAHIMOVICH. THE REST ARE BELOW HIS LEVEL. |

Jose Mourinho is now facing the media to preview Thursday's Europa League group match in Feyenoord. He starts by addressing Wayne Rooney's absence from the match squad: "He plays every game since the beginning of the season and also 90 minutes for England. I want him to be fresh for the next Premier League match." Mourinho admits the Europa League is not every players dream but the team still wants to win the competition. "I know the Europa League is not the big dream of every big player, but you're not in the Champions League - you have to find your motivation. "You come to respect your opponent, you come to win the game...we want to win the competition. It's difficult to do it but it is simple to feel it and say it - that is how we want to approach the competition. "I have brought a very good squad and I will play with a very good team. After defeat, the best thing is to play. Everyone wants to be on the pitch tomorrow." Ander Herrera also present spoke to the media and said the team wants to show a reaction to the Derby defeat. "I'm playing for the most successful team in England and we always want to keep winning things. We want to win every game. Tomorrow is a good challenge for us - we have to show a reaction from Saturday. "We are enjoying every training session and every player is ready to play. We have a good squad, we are playing with freedom because we feel the confidence of our manager." [Source: MUTV] #MUFC #Mourinho #Herrera |
