He got trust issues...create a doctored message which seems to expose you to be cheating, when he questions you about it tell him you wanted to get a conversation with him about trust issues and show him evidence that it was doctored. This will help you predict his reaction and make him stop going through your stuffs. If you just ask him like that he might deny it cos its not something to be proud of, and you will stop trusting him too leading to a time bomb relationship.
