I bought New Airtel sim thinking that I will be buying data at cheaper rate. On the 5th of may I bought 3 GB BB unlimited plan at the rate of N1,500. I browse mostly in the evening since the nature of my work will not allowed me to press my phone during working hours, so i use the Airtel to chat in the night and keep myself busy.

Yesterday 10th of may my browser stopped working. I contacted the customer's care and they told me I have exhausted my data I was like how did a whole 3GB just disappeared in less than 5 days I did not connect it with my laptop. I didn't download much just 5 apps that was not even up to 80Mb.

This is not good at all.

Pls share your own experience.

There is now a solution to it on Android. But I fear if we all let you guys know it might overwhelm the 'secret'. Just change your IMEI to a BB10 IMEI and the data charge will stabilize. Been using it for a week plus now and no regrets

How can I change my phone IMEI

Airtel with zapping sha. Thats wat they did with my airtime. I recharged 200 airtime and made a call not up to 45sec, and ZAP!! the whole thing is gone. They really have to remove that zapping bug from their system else, they ain't getting to the promise land.

Guy I have experienced such, that's the Airtel unlimited plan for you. The Airtel 1GB N1000 lasts longer than the BB Unlimited plan. All Airtel BB unlimited plans are like that

Dont mind him.Upon all notice people have been making concerning the plan,even airtel said if you use it on android phone it will charge you twice the price of using it on BB phone.

U guys shud lie a little and tell the truth more.
Airtel bb 3G is #1000 why say #1500.
Yes it zaps mb but it is far more better than android sub. I use it on my android and I have been enjoying it all this while to download.

yes,Airtel now recognizes your device as a Curve BB. Try and Google BB10 imei because it's like Airtel has different packages for normal BB and BB10, so you can enjoy the plan.

I have already tweak my Imei to a blackberry and I am using Glo . Recently I just discovered Glo zaps data like mad my 3gig which costs about 1400 does not last for a week or two.

N.B:I usually tether my phone to my laptop. Can my imei work with airtel? If yes how much does it Cost?

Na awoof kill u oo... they told u something is meant for BBs and still, u went for it simply because dey said it works on all gadgets. Dial *141# and reply with 1, u will see the real android data prices for airtel. 1k will buy u 1.5gb officially. 2k =3.5gb and 2500 will give u 5gb.
