My dear, there is no exam for project, teaching practice, seminar etc. And do not bother to register them for exam. just ignore them when you see them as courses to register for exam.

Really....how annoying! I just paid 2K for teaching practice when I could have used it to register another course. Is there a way to retrieve this money and use it to pay for another course? cry

Please I have 2 questions and I'll like the best answer

1.
If one has 2 carry overs after 500l results (second semester) are out, which automatically means an extra semester, will such student pay another school fee or just the exam fee for the failed courses.

2.
Does failing a course have any negative effects on your cgpa even though you'll redo the course and pass it.
Thanks

1. YOU WILL REGISTER THE EXAM FOR THE EXTRA SEMESTER AND BEFORE YOU CAN REGISTER YOUR EXAMS, YOU MUST PAY THE COMPULSORY PAYMENT FOR THAT SEMESTER . SO YOU WILL PAY FOR THE EXAM AND MAKE A COMPULSORY PAYMENT.

2. FAILING OF A COURSE HAS NO EFFECTON YOUR CGPA FOR E-EXAMS. I HAVE PERSONALLY DONE A FANTASTIC RESEARCH ON THIS WITH THE HELP OF THE REGISTRAR OF MY STUDY CENTRE. BUT FOR POP YES.

I TAKES A SECOND... AM JOKING , NOT TRULY A SECOND. IN FACT , IT TAKES NO TIME. JUST WRITE A TRANSFER LETTER, GO WITH THE PRINTOUT OF YOUR E-WALLET AND ALL REGISTERED COURSES ALONGSIDE THE LETTER AND SUBMIT TO YOUR STUDY CENTER DIRECTOR. IN TURN, THE DIRECTOR WILL SIGN THE LETTER AND THEN YOU DO 4 COPIES OF THE LETTER TOGETHER WITH OTHER CREDENTIALS. YOUR STUDY CENTER WILL RETURN YOUR DOCUMENTATION FILES TO YOU TO SUBMIT IN YOUR NEW STUDY CENTER. I AM ALREADY DOING THE FORMAT OF THE LETTER FOR YOU.

I had this argument with a fellow nounite the other day and she was like if one does not register the project and seminar , then you will not graduate, i told her nothing like that. funny enough we took this question to our study center IT staff and center counselor at owerri and they both affirmed her position. My brother i got tired cause i have inquired on this same issue at McCarty study center in Lagos and they said " dont register" . I don't know which info to subscribe to.

Bros Please i had some missing scripts ,3 of them actually and have decided to re register them for this semester exams just in case they don't come out. I can already see them in my pending TMA courses at the moment even without paying or registering them officially in the exam registration link. My question is; can i go ahead and solve them tma's. will there be later effects.

IF IT IS PEN-ON-PAPER, I ADVICE YOU HANDS DOWN.... EVEN THOUGH THE MAY NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT. BUT YOU CAN COLLECT THE TMAS OF STUDENTS DOING THAT PARTICULAR COURSE.

TO PROVE ME RIGHT, EVERY REGISTERED SEMINAR, I.T, PROJECT, TEACHING PRACTICE etc. where all dropped back to the exam portal. MY CENTER DIRECTOR TOGETHER WITH THE REGISTRAR ALONGSIDE MY ICT ADMIN HAS SAID THAT IT SHOULD NOT BE REGISTERED.

Ok if i get you well, you mean i should go ahead and solve the tmas without registering the courses since i can already see them in pending tmas drop down.

FOR NOW, THERE IS NO ADMISSION FOR LAW IN NOUN. NOT EVEN FOR DIRECT ENTRY.
AS A MATTER OF FACT, NOUN DO NOT ADMIT DIRECT ENTRY FOR LAW.
OK. Tanx. But what could have been the reason for not admitting Law students currently as you said? Secondly, in the school website there is provision for direct entry in Law. How can We reconcile that when you said that noun do not admit direct entry in Law ? Sorry If I'm asking much But I really want to know before I make my choices. Tanx in anticipation.

Try this to see them. Perhaps it will show.

1. login to your tma portal

2. open any tma question

3. paste this link on your address bar and type your matric number after the equals sign on this link

https://tma.nou.edu.ng/DisplayQuiz.aspx?tmaid=TMA1/edu726&MatricNumber=
eg. https://tma.nou.edu.ng/DisplayQuiz.aspx?tmaid=TMA1/edu726&MatricNumber=nou175429217

4. if the TMA is available, it will be spooled from the Tma database.

Thanks a lot @dungas. This actually answered my question and my dilemma as well. Cos my major concern has always been whether their Law graduates are admitted into Law school. Cos it doesn't worth it If after spending So many years in the school studying Law you Won't be admitted into Law school. But I Hope the resolve it ASAP. For the direct entry, Yes I have a first degree already. But you should please keep us posted as well when they start admitting again. One Love!
