@poster,
i can see u as typical nigerian. u are one of the best nigerians i have ever seen.
reading ur post, the first question that comes to my mind is, where are u? if u are in brtain as i think, why are u there instead of your worthy country nigeria? is there any possibility for those nigerians in nigeria to think of obtaining a british passport?
i really want to forgive u as i feel u are not delibrating doing this to decieve ppl in nigeria maybe as a result of ignorance.
come back to nigeria brother as charity begings at home.

Walakolobo - an unfortunate specimen of a Nigerian.  Obviously in diaspora, if the passport story is to be believed.

Surely we should ask ourselves why, on the one hand we blame our ex-colonial "masters" for all of our woes, and then on the other we generally aspire to a UK or US passport and to leave the country that we profess to love?

Walakolobo is like the "Guardian" newspaper - full of words and hot air, but no new ideas - and forgotten and discarded the next day.

the point the poster is trying to make is that he proudly Nigerian, ! his other point should not really be taken seriously since anything can come up! wat i want to knoW is, if he/she goes out,seeing the difference in comfort etc. would he be willing to return to the country he is so proud to belong to
I LL NEED THE 'POSTER' AND EVERYONE ELSE WILLING TO INTERCEDE ON HIS BEHALF, TO ANSWER THIS!!!

So, I was just sitting down, and thinking about nigeria- then it came to my mind that how much it would suck if nigeria's soccer team was no more and there was biafra soccer team  undecided, omo oduduwa soccer team  lipsrsealed, and northern sultanate soccer teams.

just consider what would be their nicknames from all I have learned on nairaland . Instead of the super eagles we would have for the igbo team would be called the super complainers squad , the yoruba team would be called the indomitable 419 squad, the northern soccer team would be called the roaring cattle rearers. I was also worried because it would be unlikely that people from the north would be able to spell their names correctly on their shirts. In addition- if anyteam loses to theother, it could lead to serious clashes.

Just my two cents

I am so happy we made the world cup grin

@OP

What is the meaning of being "due for British passport".

I guess it better using the phrase you "have met the minimum requirements for applying for the British passport".

Anyway Good one.  I have seen many "British/America" stopped at the entry point to cross check the authenticity of their claimed Nationality, while the Nigerian passport sails through easily.

This guy might have "met the minimum requirements for a British passport" but we all know that doesn't guarantee anything if you don't or can't meet the other conditions like maybe have a job, up to date taxes, and other stuff that they may need. Fabrication all the way it seems, where are the best Nigerian doctors, teachers, etc today? Abeg stop this lies jare and stay in your council flat lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

Give it up, walakolobo.
Who actually cares if you carry a Hindustani passport?
This stuff is actually getting quite tiring, and in the way of more interesting discourse. If you love Nigeria, just wear green white green all day.
