A breakdown of the report shows that President Buhari receives an annual basic salary of N3.51m; Osinbajo receives N3.03m, while ministers, secretary to the government of the federation, head of service and chairmen of boards of statutory agencies go home with N2.02m annually.

So tragic that a politician who hardly does real work will earn more in hardship allowance than a Working civil servant on minimum wage will earn in 7yrs

And they say they are not corrupt. Even Pastor join too . People are suffering, dying, going hungry while these ones that collect salary every month without strike, travel first class and send their children abroad every day. Who deserve hardship allowance and who is now corrupt??

You want Nigerians to be calm and not criticize you and you do all these...

This is so annoying to hear

Is this a new allowance or same as those enjoyed by GEJ.
I am not aware that the President emoluments have changed in the last 2 years.
Aside the so called hardship allowance translate to N146, 000 per month for the President. That's no much sum compared to what an Assistant Manager collects in an oil service company as hardship allowance.
By the way I collected my first hardship allowance as an employee some years ago. It's a regular thing at work place for over a decade now

This shows how terrible our current leaders are. Fine we all know that they are the leaders and they are entitle to enjoy all the goodies but with the current situation what are they using hardship allowance for?

Nigerians are suffering in large numbers without hardship allowance from the government they voted for.

Now tell me how thunder will not fire all this thieves and looters of all kind who portray them selves as leaders

yea for the fact they are not collecting 100% they have tried. it is salary structure that has been in existence before they assumed office, so that is not there fault.

I think this is good.. For the first time in my life hearing the break down of our leaders....In as much as I don't like Buhari's policies, one name you cannot call him is a "THIEF".. He will never be a party to any illicit arrangements and black deals..I think this is good!

SMH!

When Buhari and osinbajo said they were slashing their salaries, their gullible followers were hailing them. These crafty old men who have wrecked our entire economy will earn ten times more than their annual salary in their over bloated allowances.

What gives them to the right to earn so much when majority of the citizens are hungry? They should be ashamed.
