Wow, thats lovely, that was what happened to okorodukoko majekodunmilayo who married aishatu imoh abasi, he invited everybody through MTN text messages, since there was no money to print out wedding cards, so he sent text messages to all his family members, friends and school mates, he now cooked ten bag of rice, with chicken, so on the day of the wedding, he was shocked that nobody came for the wedding, only for him to discover that the message he sent did not deliver, mtn had a network breakdown, chai, so okorodukoko continue the wedding like that with only the pastor and the empty chairs, and they lived happily ever after, but MTN really spoilt his wedding plans ooo, because he had to eat the 10 bags of rice, they are still eating it now as i am typing this ...

I am speechless. Is it really possible for everyone they know to turn against them? One Yoruba proverb comes to mind.

Is dat an achievement? U invited ppl and they refuse to come. Including parents who shd unite you with blessings from their heart. And ure happy. Marriage based on truth is done in the presence of witnesses. So d bible confirms

Not in this case. Marriage shd be done in d presence of witnesses. And even if there's no witness, at least their parents shd be there..that's necessary. Its not abt pleasing ppl now, its abt doing the right and proper thing.

its like u are not in this nigeria o! so u are not aware that some families reject a spouse solely for being from a different tribe? in that kind of scenario, wont u go ahead and marry the person u love whether anybody attended or not? i know i would.
