The hymen is a thin membrane of tissue that surrounds and narrows the vaginal opening. It may be torn or ruptured by sexual activity or by exercise.


As the result of my particular birth experience, I’ve read a lot about vaginas. Some of the vagina facts I have stumbled across are banal, others horrifying. Clearly a top 10 list is the best way to wrestle with these feminine mysteries.
