This is isn't robbery... Its an assassination.
The police should start d investigation from the man working place to know if there is any hiding thing or secret he's involved in or have seen.

If there is a record of his passengers, the police should look into it. There must be a clue.

Also, the police should speak with his collogues at work, his church and neighbors. But this should be done secret though it might take some time to achieve but there shall get d culprit.

This is an assassination case to wipe d entire fmly off for possible secret d man knew about and might have shared with his fmly.
