Tinubu can never float a party that can win Presidency without the help of the North. If you disagree, history is there for you. APC won because of Buhari's influence in the North. North is the majority, majority they say carry the vote. If he trickles down his influence and power, Buhari's party will defeat his candidates hands down. Tinubu has lost out. He has learnt the hardway! He is not but a local warrior. |

What i can perceive from all these desperate media speculations was to create a monster within the APC that can pitch Buhari against Tinubu, thereby creating a crack for those 2019 desperados to take advantage of. Those detractors have forgotten that both PMB and Jagaban are war veterans as they know when to choose their fight and which enemy(s) to fight. As long as the both are not in contention which they've all have reiterated in the recent past "LAWMA" will take care of the speculation. |

The hegemonic forces at the Presidency are effectively using 'divide and rule' tactics to conquer the SouthWest APC via ambitious Yoruba fifth-columnists and collaborators, a recurring script in their power-play tactics since independence. They are using Tinubu's disgruntled ex-disciples to decimate him politically. I don't know how he's going to wiggle his way out of this but this certainly aren't the best of times for the Jagaban. |

Tinubu is spend..the north is bulding another political bloc in the west. He's not needed in the scheme now..loyalty is what is needed not godfather. There can't be two captain in a ship..is tantamount to mutiny. Atiku is a confirm politician..he learnt from his mistake after baba dealt with him..but oga tinubu don't want to learn from others.. By next year..the north will empower the new bloc in the west..politicians will realign. Tinubu should be fighting for lagos state ..which will be a tough battle.. A man should know when he conquer..tinubu miscalculated..even after lagos election. That saw fash nearly fronting him.. there's no fight for him to be won at the federal level..he should concentrate his arsenal in lagos.. The boys have turned to men..and they ain't smiling..they are coming woskily for him..and they have the backing to equal his finance. Jagaban..you came you saw..you conquered..but going in peace will confirm. you jagaban borgu. |

only those who believe that Nigeria came into existence in 2010 or 1999 (when it suits their analysis) will be surprised by this. Tinubu seems to be a poor student of history which has shown us that you never ever 'assume' you can control a Fulani. for all his faults, BAT is a force to be reckoned with, but I fear the present power brokers are not as mild mannered & easily intimidated as the former... meanwhile, some more secrets on MB will soon be exposed & all things being equal, BAT is about to endure a challenge that will make his NADECO days seem like a walk in the park... |

My people are intensely jealous and envious of this man the influential (not powerful) Yorubas call Asiwaju. My people's problem is individuality, rampant ego and political foolishness. We have not learn the importance of structure and hierarchy. In our land everybody is a king and nobody is a subject. |

Abi oloshi ni awon people yini?. Thunder go fire some certain schizophrenics rousing gloomy conspiratorial beerparlour gists. Previously, it was Buhari has lost his body language & some power brokers working assiduously to whittle down his influence. Now it's about Tinubu, the political colossus at the center of contending forces. I repeat egbe baba baba won o tobe. It's APC, coalition of several parties, it's a fight for spoils. Tinubu will win some & lose some, a fact which he has always reiterated. If he could kick Obj & Gej's ass how much less negligible minorities. No time to allow ipods slobber on yorubas. No time for radarada. All Hail Afonja Obey the truth! |

North centre and south west were the last election winner determinants. If Tinubu didnt do his job very well and Former president had d no of votes hehad in 2011 in Lagos d rest would be history, what happen to his influence in d last 3 elections that he lost. let us wait and see how fashola ll deliver Lagos to APC or Fayemi in Ekiti. In Ondo State I see Olushola Oke winning. TPAND: |

TPAND:Let me remind you that Buhari (under cpc and anpp) contested for president 3 times and he lost until Tinubu steps in, where was Buhari's influence when he lost election 3 times back to back |
| Re: Tinubu: The Battle Ahead - Sun News by doctokwus: 2:37pm On Oct 01, 2016 |
One may not like Tinubu and his tendency to annoint candidates, appoint cabinet members and other govt appointees, but pmb may not have won the election without Tinubu's machinery. Without that machinery,PMB won't have won because even if he had won tru majority votes got mainly from the North in d 1st ballot ,losing the SS,SE and the SW wud have denied him the required 2/3 spread and in a runoff with the then presidency seeing the danger of losing, all the rigging apparati wud have been deployed. With the likes of Wike,Diezanni,Akpabio,Fayose,Tompolo in Delta etc, votes of 2m or more in Rivers,Akwa Ibom, Delta wud have been manufactured to counterbalance whatever the North wud produce in a runoff. Tinubu can be tamed, but not thru this barefaced, crude and tampering with delegates way the presidency is going about it. |

whether they like it or not,TInubu remain force to be reckon with in Yoruba land. I wait to see among Ibikunle Amosu,Babatunde Raji Fashola, Kayode Fayemi, Akeredolu Rotimi and Abiola Ajimobi whom among them have the weight and charisma to woo Yorubas respectively to vote against Tinubu directive. Time will tell. And those of you who think Yoruba are gullible will be shocked in 2019 with a block voting pattern again. That's the reason we are an enigma to solve |

olawumia:On point,Fashola,Fayemi and other Aso Rock collaborators efforts in Ondo State will be futility.Oke la nlo ni ipinlo Ondo. They should come and campaign for Aketi, they need to perpetrate further fraud to sustain the fraudulent activities they committed in the last Ondo State APC gubernatorial primary. |

chibuzorAbia:Igbos have always been a Republican people. That's why the British could not set up indirect rule. In some ways, that's a good thing. Individuality should be celebrated as powerful cabals can't rise up. The Biafra movement however is supporting a 'cabal'. When there is individuality, but still national unity, those are the only circumstances that the true meaning of democracy can be realized. |

TPAND:The chances of Tinubu floating a party to win the presidency in 2019 is very slim because the trust will no longer be there and those things cost money and when Tinubu starts dishing out money then Efcc will be his guest |

sarrki:Better keep the SS/SE out of the political zones.Tinubu is finished politically.Like the article said. He is too dirty to fight Buhari and the EFCC would make a mince meat of him should he dare.He should quietly enter into his cocoon and enjoy the wealth he has amassed so far |

| Re: Tinubu: The Battle Ahead - Sun News by masseratti: 6:58pm On Oct 01, 2016 |
Tinubu messed up at the point PMB gave him the opportunity to choose a vp for him but not himself, he picked himself for the position, if PMB and tinubu had gone to the polls together, Gej would have won handsdown, the likes of ameachi had to beg him for three days before he agreed to choose someone else, power intoxicate, at this point he should allow democracy to evolve in Apc and be a leader, he made the same mistake with the National Assembly, you don't have to use your influence all the time, not all fight a lion fight, making his daughter Iyaloja of Lagos was also a great mistake, telling brilliant hardworking legislators like Mamora to step down was also a mistake, well he is human, mistakes must happen, I hope he has learned his lessons on a good way. |

if buhari is not careful of those trying to limit tinubu's influence in the apc,by the time tinubu is through with him,he should start packing out of aso rock come 2019.I wonder how buhari would believe politicians that cannot even win their polling unit will limit tinubu's influence in the southwest. smh. |

The writer of the article is Ndubuisi Orji, an Iboman. The ethnicity of the writeralone says a lot why the article demonizes Tinubu. |

kcnwaigbo:We know...thats why Nduibisi wrote the article, your caustic hatred for Asiwaju's successes. May Oduduwa continue to bless Asiwaju for us. He has made his mistakes, he will learn from it...but we Yorubas remain steadfastly behind him. If he can defeat PDP from power, he has the secret and intrigues to also defeat APC from power. Through his savviness Yoruba will always have the upper hand in Nigerian politics, Ibo can hate all you want. |
