Oga Gazzuzz, KINDLY advise what to do here. PLEASE my Toyota Camry 2000 v6 engine came up with error code P0446 and was making a loud noise when rev on a spot. The guy that checked it said we should change the catalyst as there is nothing in it again. This was changed on Saturday but am still not satisfied with the sound. this morning now, the CEL came up and i scanned a it gave error code P0420. Now am worried. Not the best time to waste money wey no dey. |

blazetitov: Original problem was evaporative emission system vent p0466. New error is catalytic converter below thresh hold on bank1. How many catalysts did you replace? Seems you threw away money. |

GAZZUZZ:  In this change period!I only changed one of the catalyst converter that had fried and straitened nets inside. Its the middle one. The car makes a loud sound before its moves from gear 1 to 2 now, more like its dragging. My oga, please help your boy. How do i remedy this. I just hope the bank 1 sensor is not damaged because the cable was folded in the process of removing the exhaust. |

blazetitov: it's a v6 engine, 1 catalyst down, 1 to go. (replace the one near the firewall). Check the entire exhaust for Man made restrictions. |

Bros Gazzuz, good morning, I know you're pretty vast and knowledgeable in car repair. And I am pretty pleased with the good work you have put up here. To cut long story short, my car, Toyota Camry V6 2003 shows these error codes P0171, p0174, p0302, p0420, p0430 and p0128. And I would like to know how to read fuel consumption on a scanner. I also would love yo know the shortest path to removing these error codes. I learnt on YouTube that I can have the secondary o2 sensor spaced from the catalyst. It consumes fuels more. Kindly assist bro. Thanks |
