Militants are a group of people the Nigerian army won't be able to stop because of their unity, they believe they fight for a just cause and in life there is nothing stronger than the power of unity.

ironically, if oil prices continue to rise, then fuel prices will also increase especially if the exchange rate remains the same.

the regime should think ahead & do the needful...

Relying of the Niger Delta since the creation of Nigeria. The painful part is in the scorn and disdain the people of the region are treated. As Sari Wiwa put it before the life was snuffed out of him, "how can you be at peace with a man that takes the shirt of your back and gives you 2 buttons? ." People are now crying for justice by way of restructuring and negotiation and you say there's nothing to restructure or negotiate and you want there to be peace and on a daily basis you harass and persecute their leaders for corruption when your own people are more corrupt. God sees all and its a matter of time that true justice will come

That is the number 1 reason why we are in a recession

U are wrong sir, not everyone act like they have solutions to the problem but the PDP has cause damage that we all agreed to but APC knew and sees there is loads of problems on grounds and they promised to clear the problem and they fail it as simple as that, so the only people who act like they can solve the problems are the APC simple

Lol...its not about whether oil sells for $50 or for $1000. The question is this, what do we do with the little we have? What meaningful thing have we done with the oil proceeds in the past? What have we done with it this year?

This govt doesn't seem like they would do anything reasonable even if oil prices skyrocket, they will use half of it to search for more oil in the north.
We need to invest in education, science and technology.

Youths, I'm speaking to you now, I'm not a motivational speaker but the situation everyone in Nigeria is currently facing is enough motivation. We must strive to break barriers. I keep asking myself, what is wrong with the black race? Do the whites have 10 heads? Who did we offend? Abi na we kill Jesus? Where are the black Zukerbergs and Steve Jobs? Why is it that when Africa is to be shown on CNN, you start seeing forests and wild animals??

I'm very angry but I'll stop talking now.
Hahahahahahahaha, very little can be achieved here. Africa lacks everything, do you know if Steve Jobs was born in Africa he would have achieved nothing or very little. Great nations have daring leaders that make their countries as fertile as possible for entrepreneurs. African leaders do not have that sense yet. Personally, I've given up because I wasted my 20s trying to become something in Nigeria. I am not saying others can not succeed but I need to be in a place where when i get creative, I focus on my creativity and not have to worry about power, police harrassment-any young man with a laptop in Nigeria is a g boy, funding amongst others. I hope to give back one day though, the nation as it is needs serious help, there is very little the country can do for her citizens.

Abeg make crude oil prices no rise @ least until we don diversify 9ja economy successfully. It has bn a curse 2 ds coun3 because it has killed our ability 2 produce & innovate. D huge petrodollars we wld get wld only go in2 importation & d personal coffers of politicians & their cronies. Whenever d price of crude oil goes up, our commonsense goes down.

That is the main issue. Going by the dumbest and dunceness of Buhari's brain, I doubt even if the price increases to hit the roof, he may not even know what is happening. But, illitracy na dumbest.

even if the price of oil surges to 200dollars per barrel, as long as there is an incompetent man up there, the country won't prosper. If one cannot use one naira judiciously, how then can you trust him to use 1million judiciously.

IF THERE IS "ANYTHING" WE CAN LEARN FROM HISTORY, IT IS THAT "HISTORY ALWAYS REPEATS ITSELF"

QED.......

What is History? History is the study of the past, present and the Future. Any proof? See below:

On August 27, 1985 Brigadier J.N. Dogonyaro announced the coup that dethroned the Buhari/ Idiagbon government and brought Babangida to power. Below is an excerpt from his speech.

"........The Nigerian public has been made to believe that the slow pace of action of the Federal Government headed by Major-General Muhammadu Buhari was due to the enormity of the problems left by the last civilian administration.

Although it is true that a lot of problems were left behind by the last civilian government, the real reason, however, for the very slow pace of action is due to lack of unanimity of purpose among the ruling body; subsequently, the business of governance has gradually been subjected to ill-motivated power play considerations. The ruling body, the Supreme Military Council, has, therefore, progressively been made redundant by the actions of a select few members charged with the day-to-day implementation of the SMC’s policies and decision.

The concept of collective leadership has been substituted by stubborn and illadvised unilateral actions, thereby destroying the principles upon which the government came to power. Any effort made to advise the leadership, met with stubborn resistance and was viewed as a challenge to authority or disloyalty.

Thus, the scene was being set for systematic elimination of what, was termed oppositions. All the energies of the rulership were directed at this imaginary opposition rather than to effective leadership.                                                  The result of this misdirected effort is now very evident in the country as a whole. The government has started to drift. The economy does not seem to be getting any better ......."

This was 31 years ago......

Make whatever you may out of this.

Pls, note:
None political, simply Historic.
Copied.

it will be nice if it is true. I am in support of buhari at the same time I hope ds news is not a political statement. hope ds news is not a fabricated news for the celebration of October 1st. cos hunger I mean famine are all over the country. state workers salary has not been paid. minimum state owning workers is about 6 months. imagine what they will be eating with their families, imagine where their children will be without attending school when their school fees is not being paid. even federal workers promotion arrears hasn't been pay since 2004. private company are relocating to Ghana while other even fold up. I am in support of buhari but I don't understand his government. to be candid those ministers are not performing. not outstanding at all. talk of audu ogbeh ,fayemi, shittu, adewole, ameachi, ngige e.t.c even fasola. what are they doing? imagine 1dollar is 475 naira. are they waiting for it to be exchanged for #1000 before they will start working. I pray that God should help us.

Comprehension seems to be your problem. Did I state that it was a crime exploring oil in the north? So in your closed mind exploring oil in the north is more important than investing agriculture when there is chronic poverty and starvation in the said north..

Didn't the NDA start bombing oil installations just yesterday? And how long have we have bad roads, bad health care, delapitated educational system, high infant mortality rate and high level of poverty?

The NDA didn't plunge us into recession, your clueless president did with his mundane policies.
