My humble suggestion is to try and do as many house chores as you can. Wash, cook, clean, arrange etc. Probably one or two per day. This can bring on labour and prepare you for the rigour of pushing.

However, when I experienced something similar what I used was breast pump to extract some of the breast, I got relieved. Sorry about the malaria, hope you have som1 to assist you.

Joomie, please massage the breast with hot water, put cold cabbage leaves in ur bra and keep putting baby to suck that breast. You will be fine soon. It's probably the pain from the engorged breast dats causing the malaria like symptoms. I had it too.

I wanted to be sure that what I used worked for me before replying you. I was in ur shoes two weeks ago ma, that PCV is low, Dr treated me for malaria, that was what was making me anaemic so your Dr is on point, after I completed my malaria drug, I got what the Yoruba's call Poroporo ( guinea corn stalk), boiled it and stsred drinking it, I also ate slightly steamed Ugu as though my life depended on it. My PCV was checked today and its now 37%. Do I can say it worked. Pls boost the PCV now, thank God you still have weeks ahead. Wish you the best of health dear.

NB. I am assuming you are in Nigeria, if you are you can get the " Poroporo " from those iya alagbos ( Elewe omo) who sell herbs. And the "Poroporo is safe in pregnancy, you can google it up."

Thank God for helping me out of the issue. I took vegetables religiously like medicine. I buy 50naira Ugu and 50 Naira garden egg leaf daily. I blend ugu with water and drink first thing in the morning then eat unripe plantain porridge for breakfast. I took a strong iron supplement recommended by my doctor as well. For brunch, I did same to the garden egg leaf. Also took Green okro without palm oil soup and plenty ugu.

I made sure to give at least 4 hours before I take any calcium such as milk, etc because it inhibits the absorption of iron. No ice cream cravings whilst taking your iron. Take folic acid and vitamin E along with the iron as it aids absorption of iron.

Since yours is because of malaria, I am sure once it's treated, it should start rising.
