Nigeria wants to sign MOU it is with Portugal which Nigeria is better than. God forbid bad thing, this our African thinking that the whiteman is better than us is the reason most African countries will never progress.

Yes they might not be that strong and viable but they might be better than us in terms of manufacturing because as it is now, we rarely produce any hardware.

Thats why I did tell u from the beginning that at one time even the GDP of lagos was more than that of portugal. I never said anything about SA so can't speak in that direction.

GDP is not a good measure of wealth. PPP and HDI are more accurate measures and on those Portugal are far ahead of Nigeria

Portugal has been building aircraft since the time of the Ottoman Turk empire. That means aerodynamics, aerostrucrures, flight dynamics are mature skills in the country. Even now, i imagine they share in the production of F16, Tornado and Euro fighter aircraft. They probably even have significant participation in European space programs as well
I rate Portugal , Ukraine and Chech higher in aircraft and UAV design than China even though China has a large number of products on the market

True but still, Nigeria has a better GDP and PPP than portugal though worse HDI than the same country cos of the rate of inflation, unemployment and morbidity.
Anyway if anything comes out of it that will be nice.

So what happened to the Chinese ? Why are we not in partnership with some of their UAV manufactures or buying some of their top UAV, which the Chinese are very willing to sell us ? Are we being threatened by the Americans?

Nigeria uses state of the art Chinese CH3/4 armed drones. But if an opportunity comes to domesticate production of drones in nigeria why not? I know Portuguese drones have had some spectacular fails but this shouldn't rule out joint venture that involve technology transfers. You won't get that from any of the established powers.
