U still need to calm down and read carefully instead of ranting. The picture clearly says g928l and 928G support band 28 and not g928F. Even if it eventually supports it, its not enough to call them scam, at least not yet. U just might be in a region without 4g signal.

But as it is right now, the specs from gsmarena says ur phone doesnt support band 28. Now I guess we know who is blind.

Epic!

That's OK, we all make mistakes. Its not easy to admit u were wrong. Respekt. Nice device u hsve by the way. I really don't know what glo were thinking choosing band 28 for their LTE. Only about 10% of phones support this band. The only phones that support this band are the iPhones and a few recent high end Android phones.

Thanks, they are crazy. one would think that high end phones would support it but i guess their logic baffles me. will continue to use my spectranet. they can do whatever the like. Etisalat is showing 4g on my tecno sef

Really? I learnt etisalat sims don't need to be upgraded to get 4g. Time to go bring out my etisalat since I dumped it. Mtn has refused to upgrade my sim because it wasnt registered in my name. The person that registered the sim is not in Nigeria lol, and they don't even sell 4g sims, u have to buy the normal sim and then come back after like 2 days to upgrade. That's double trouble and I dont have time for that.

On a side note instead of spectranet wh don't u try Ntel? Their speed is better. The only time spectranet is advisable is if u are not s heavy user, but if u sre a heavy user nothing beats ntel at the moment. I dumped my spectranet for ntel.

High end phones can support any band. It just depends on the market that phone is made for.

Most of these bands are specific to certain regions, that's why. You can hardly find a phone model that supports all bands.

Glo no just get chill at all.

Not all the variants, though. This is where Apple has the edge over other OEMs. Apple devices support a whole lot of lte bands

This particular variant of E5573 supports band 28. I'd have gone for it if not that it doesn't support band 20.

Glo 4G is a scam. Got a sim yesterday and it's been on my LG G2 4GLTE. It only went to Edge and stayed there. This evening I put 5hat 4G sim into my Infinix HotNote Pro and it calling, chatting. I think I would stick to my other line. Glo is yet to wake up.

Hello Guys,

I make bold to say Glo is just trying fooling us all.

I purchased a 4G sim because on their coverage map, their mast on my street has 4G coverage. I have tested their sim on 3 devices verified to be compatible with band 28, but neither 4G nor LTE comes up on these devices, even when locked to 4G or LTE only.

I went back to their head office on Adeola Odeku, where it's sure that they have 4G LTE coverage, I went with my 3 compatible devices, they did everythig, I spent 2 hrs there, no 4G or LTE came up. I asked them to show me one of their devices showing or running their 4G LTE, they said they don't have any yet.

They asked me to go that they would get back to me, it's about a week now, nothing!

I'm aware that MTN had been testing their 4G LTE for months before launchiong last week. A reliable source told me Glo was aware MTN was going to launch last week, so they decided to "launch" and announce theirs before MTN, just so they can have the bragging rights to say they were the first to launch a 4G LTE service with a nation wide coverage.

They are actually not ready with a working 4G LTE network, they just rushed out with a product that's not working just because of MTN, in my opinion, that's a SCAM!

I have same opinion as well. I've been going round places in Abuja where they claim to have LTE coverage, but i haven't found a single one. I can authoritatively say that Glo 4G is all lies. They simply announced the launch of the nonexistent 4G because MTN Launched its own, and Glo were afraid of being left behind.

Though i noticed an intense deployment of green fiber optic cables around Abuja metropolitan since weekend. Maybe it's just being deployed. But this is simply scam on Glo's part. I'm very disappointed in Glo.
