I was in possession of two Mazda keys. An E2000 bus and a '90 Mazda 626, mistakenly used the bus' door key on 626, it opened and I tried on the engine and it worked.

That's even better. I've used the car key of the Baby Boy to start my dad's Honda Civic, and vice versa.

That's crap! undecided
it makes the production process easier and cheaper... but that is for the older models, the newer/recent ones are a bit different in terms of function. these days you have thumb start and coded keys! Very soon we gon git that merc, babe! grin

You should see my mum's car key. FC Barcelona Keyholder, attached to a Bank Keyholder, attached to the house keys, with the key to the generator house.

My dad, on the other hand, only has the house key, and a bottle opener (don't ask).

Until the battery starts messing up.

Happened with my dad's 2001 Toyota Camry.

I tried to unlock it sometime ago, on my way home, it didn't budge. Had to use the key... then the bloody alarm went off. I started answering questions no one asked... "it's my car, I'm not stealing it". Even the spare remote didn't work.

After so many attempts, I finally got the alarm to shut up!

Personally, I wouldn't recommend Remote Controls. No, thank you.
My car has factory keyless entry and doesnt have an alarm system being an LX trim. My keyless remote battery has died a couple of times and i immediately replaced. So what i meant is that other people dont care when batteries die or some other coding problems.

I also dont dig after market remote systems and am sure i didnt advice you to get one.

Ma, pls let's not go to English lessons.

That's why I always encourage using remote entry which will maintain the good condition of door cylinder
If I encourage using remote entry, it doesn't mean i encourage buying aftermarket systems. Don't make me defend what i did not say.

My car has a remote entry, it came from factory. A lot of people adviced me to install such systems but I never did or encouraged anyone.

I've seen a baby benz started with a fork through its ignition. I did a Lil research and found out the culprit is having too much weight dangling on your key ring in the ignition as it causes the ignition key to rub off the thread pattern in the ignition, in the long run..You'll figure almost any key can open your ignition.

So... Ladies if you're fond of putting your whole house key and that teddy bear on your key ring, remember it does more harm than it looks cute. And for the gentlemen and guy men(my category) grin cheesy. I know you hate to scamper for opener everytime a profusely perspirating Odeku is standing on your table hence you carry one on your car key ring cos it's hard to forget your car keys wink, the best part is it's even more frustrating you rush to open the Odeku and the opener bends, we all know nothing makes a man motivated to drink than that crisp "Ptshh" sound hence you invest on a more original which is heavier.

So ladies and gentle GUYmen, I hope I have been able to convince and not confuse you that having more weight on your ignition transforms your ignition to an ASHAWO key.

In other news... Did you hear someone was banned for just strolling and posting a rare cassava angry... Just strolling and cassava ooo shocked angry
A baby benz is Mercedes 190 and it's a 1983 technology.
