Is it just blank or it went off?

The notification led turns on, the phone is still on but screen is blank. Sadly the battery isn't removable.

Yea, its the same process as the global rom using the updater app. You download the rom and place it in a folder named 'download_rom'.
You can see the rom beneath is the developer rom.

Ok, what do you mean by heavy user? You run many apps at a go or you stick to just 1 or 2 apps for a long time?

I don't use much apps. That is not my thing. I mean surfing the internet.

Have you tried going to factory mode? Holding the power button and volume up simultaneously? Where you trying something before or did you install any new app?

Hold the power button for like 15 seconds to turn it off then switch on lets see the outcome.

Mi5 was sold at #125k on kulimart. I had #120k. Looking for #5k to order for one.
Two days later, price increased to #127.
I was able to order at #127. A friend want one and decided to order two days later.
To my surprise, price rises to #140k.
My friend gave up coz the price difference (#15k) was too high.

Have not bothered with rooting since miui 8,but the process should be the same with miui 7. The process requires using custom recovery like twrp.

mine comes with google play and off course you can download BBM and avery other android app
get yourself the official international version...do not buy the ones sellers install google play on and then you have to do manual upgrades
