The truth is Herrera is a jack of all trade, master of none, running around like headless chicken isn't the be all. Yesterday, he would run with the ball only to pass back or sideways when he could have made the ball do the talking and travel the long distance if he had a little creativity in his arsenal. Not to mention that he tends to wander around from his position and was nowhere to be found at the time Chelsea piled up the pressure!

The difference is Kante was never a DM to begin with and everyone was questioning Conte intent on playing him in the role however people like you were creaming their pant over Herrera's new role seeing that he's been useless everywhere else, even in his natural role, of which we still don't know BTW. Hence, the difference.

This was as at April 2016. I'm wondering where you put your ear when Van gaal kept talking about the need for pace in the midfield. He even deploy Lingard as a box-box CM multiple time to emphasise his point. It was even the need for pace that got us interested in Renato Sanches until Van gaal vetoed the move.

And I repeat there's no way for a consistent one man midfield machine as Kante would have underperformed under Van gaal. Bastian never did in his prime under Van gaal. So what are you talking about? The fact that your Herrera is full of shite and stunk the whole place with his shite doesn't mean Kante is an average player as Herrera is.

Meaning that Kante needs someone good to play beside him before he himself can function well in his natural position. Same also applies to Herrera. He can't be playing with your useless Fellaini and that lazy jogging Pogba and still expect to see the midfield play very well as a whole. Let me point to you that Scholes, Pirlo et al all had a role they mastered quite well regardless of where their coach utilise them. Herrera on the other hand has none which is why he has 'the Jack of all trade' crown!

I'm also wondering where your reasoning was in other for you to know that the pace LVG was talking about was about Mane and not Kante. You went and brought a rumour that was said all because we wanted to play them. Come to think of it, let's agree that LVG has interest in him (which wasn't so), where then do we leave the fact that has been said by Kante himself that Mourinho actually spoke to him about coming to Man Utd? If LVG was really interested in him and has actually told the board about his interest in him, then there's no way he would've gone to Chelsea unless the guy actually didn't want to come. Example is Herrera's case before he was signed.

He has performed well in the no 10 where he came from but your god LVG failed to see that and also saw nothing good in him. Presently where he's being deployed he's performing his duty. He has only been played in two different midfield positions where he's performed well so far. If you see that as being a jack of all trade the Scholes and Pirlo are jacks of all trade too.

Also, how many positions has your Kagawa played at Dortmund? He too must be jack of all trade.
