I always tell myself, it's just two things that will take me out of Nigeria to a foreign land - vacation and quality education. No place like home irrespective of difficult the situation on ground maybe.

It's unfortunate how we Africans think..... You have professional experience and you opted for a construction work.... You don't need to travel to Dubai to get a job here....

You can as well apply for jobs in Dubai from naija organisations like Emirates, Fly Dubai, D nata or some big cooperations.... They are many companies that prefere getting expatriates from their home country....

People perish because of ignorance....

They are so many inexperienced people here in Dubai working in big companies..... Especially people from India and Pakistan....many of them can't speak English properly.... It's becoming a problem....

It's much safer you apply from Nigeria and if you are lucky you will be provided your visa and in some cases ticket without spending a dime....

Don't just travel here without knowing anyone otherwise you go hear wen!!!
And you must know your worth don't ever compromise your stand. I am a living testimony to that na interview I use scatter their head with phonè......

You are so right! Why go to a place like Dubai - I seriously hope you are a devout muslim because why just bother with those kind of countries if you are not a specialists like a Doctor, Engineer, Oil expert, Defence expert, IT expert or even a Nurse?

You are not likely going to make enough money doing slave-labour type jobs; even security or clerical to justify being so far away from home in some ungodly country where you cannot even enjoy yourself or your money and you stand the risk of being Sharia-ed...
