The names of the twenty-nine (29) senior officers dismissed last week by the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, for various acts of gross misconduct have emerged.

Customs spokesman, Mr Wale Adeniyi, had said in a statement http://dailypost.ng/2016/10/20/nigeria-customs-service-dismisses-29-senior-officers/, that the affected officers were among the 44 senior officers who were punished for actions capable of compromising national economy and security.

According to Ships & Ports, the 29 senior offices were sacked by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Hameed Ali, for bribery, corruption, forgery and other “gross misconducts”.

It obtained the list of fifty names ranging from those dismissed, exonerated, uplifted, warned, retired and whose services were terminated.

Now that most,if not all the under listed persons bear names that re clearly not from south east or south south,complaints of 'ethnic cleansing' is not taking place. If it were to be the other way round, by now petitions upon petitions would ve been on its way to UN against this selfless,conscientious & humble president of ours. List of 29 names with 25 northerners. This shows that if there are 1000 people working for customs, 950 will be northerners.

Go and do your research very well, 95% of custom officers are from the north and I wouldnt be surprised by this list. Atiku/Peter Obi got my vote #2019

Please be quiet! Who doesn't know that the Nigerian Customs largely has Northerners under it's employ. Getting a slot there as a Southerner is like digging for water in the middle of the desert. You can't lose what you don't have.
