Pilots are different from ATCs sir. Like I said, NAMA is seriously shortstaffed. I'm speaking based on facts. You probably carry an FAA and a CAA licence with a 737NG/Classic type..Really doesn't hve much to do with ATCs. NAMA is going through an intensive audit by the ICPC and EFCC at the moment is why there are no recruitment exercises going on.

We are both professionals in the field, ofcourse I know its different, that's why I used the phrase the "aviation sector" which also covers ATC. if your certain about availability of Jobs, I can send atleast 5 ATC guys to you.

I can't say much on this thread but I'm a student pilot at NCAT and we currently have 2-3 sets of ATC trainees and most if not all of them are sponsored by NAMA. apparently it's difficult for you to get a job if you're not sponsored by NAMA. hope that helped

They earn between 300k to 400k as beginners, subsequently it gets higher with the years in service and promotions

We pay our LGA Councillors the same amount for doing nothing.
A councillor who only needs to be 25 years old and only ATTEND Secondary school.
What is the qualifications for air traffic controllers and how many years after secondary school?
Are we not stupid to pay same salary to Councillors and Air Traffic Controllers?

You suppose not to be asking of their salary if you have the passion!
Anyway, as someone said you need to get a Job in NAMA, because Job opportunity after self sponsored would be difficult, I guess you know Nepotism is among the problems facing this Nation. If no opportunity then go for engineering courses like Avionics, Airfram and Power Plant...

Considering the salary, it's normal and okay for someone that have the zeal without having hike with it.. though it ranges from 120+ for freshers.

But have it in mind you have a longway to go if you want to save it for Pilot Career...

Bros do not give the guy false hope, yes encourage him to follow his passion but please don't give him false hope. There are very very limited jobs in the aviation sector right now. I have 2 foreign license and just did my conversion at NCAA annex house. Pilots with different type ratings still no Job.

Recently there was vacancy for a pilot with diff ratings on pushcv.com... Try n check it out... Tho i dont knw if its still available....
Not saying u r a job seeker ooo... So nor vex... Twas just a suggestion... Instead of allowing ur passion wither away...

I am looking to use the period as a launch pad opportunity for a blossoming career and I need an insider point of view. Pardon my naivety.

NAMA employs and trains people by themselves but you may not be lucky enough to be amongst the few. Take the course,be informed and then apply.

The pay is usually between 150-200k for beginner. From a reliable source.

Wow! That was what my Dad was doing at Control Tower, Enugu in the 70s. It was a bit lucrative. Don't know about now. But there's dignity in the job.

Even if you are a farmer,you can still become a pilot. what it takes is training and the right mental alertness and the resource(money)

NCAT is one of the most renowned Aviation School in Nigeria,there are more but NCAT seems to be the best for now.
Standard Pilot is about N7.5m.. ATC is about N1.5m

NCAT is one of the most renowned Aviation School in Nigeria,there are more but NCAT seems to be the best for now.
