Haba, chief, what other reasonable explanation do you require for you to consider it beyond reasonable doubt? Several posters here, who have had similar experiences in the past, have put the blade marks down to pest/insect control issues.

Why does it always seem like Africans would prefer superstition over fact? Do we derive so much comfort in it?

@OP, fret not & take the sensible advice you have been given. Confirm that your mattress has no sharp threading, that your bed sheet is not of hard cotton material and that you don't have a sharp object trapped in your beddings. Also carry out some pest control in your house to limit rodents, roaches and bugs just to be double sure.

If these don't work, then alone will I begin to pay any meaningful attention to the fear mongering by all the #teamdemonattack in this forum.

You want to sound logical. But you don't have it. If it was wall geckos assuming they had sharp claws, the lines/tears created will be short, scattered/irregular. But usually lines created are can be very long, and symmetrical.

Check your environment...pillow,bedsheets,bathing sponge et al. Someone had similar experience ,she was busy calling out satan and his demons...I just checked her bathing sponge and noticed a tiny iron similar to pot scouring sponge embedded in it....it has been scratching her skin

Don't fret, its a demonic attack. I was also afflicted sometime ago. Iknow wot u mean, d marks r so faint @ anypart of ur body. I know d. Source, evils, I retraced ma steps to God, n I tomented d same demon through prayer by d Power in d name od Jesus. Since then it stopped. So check urself first n involve God. They might be too big 4u but they r definitely too small for God to handle.

How can something the size of a gecko not be felt moving and dragging on a person? Impossible.

I don't believe Africa is bad, am sorry if my prior comment came out like that. My intentions is for us to first use common sense and logic to eliminate plausible causes before ascribing events to the supernatural. Even, the fact that we have exploited all common sense and available logic and still could not come to a reasonable conclusion does not mean that, it is supernatural, it might just mean that, we do not yet know the cause, given the available data and it is time to go hunt for new data points.

Yes, there are satanic worshipers in developed worlds, whose default position for every event is the supernatural, we have wicans, card readers, palm readers, etc. The logic in my prior comment in also applicable to these set of people, in that; if you observe their followers, they do not tend to be achievers, however the leaders of these groups tend to be successful, because they are cleaver and had turn these practices to business and their followers are meant to pay for certain activities, card reading, palm reading, etc.

The above reverse logic is also applicable in Nigeria, in that religious leaders be it in church, herbalists, marabout, etc tend to be more successful than their followers or believers, because they profit from these beliefs through payments from their followers for certain activity.

The commandment of Jesus that 'freely ye receive, freely ye shall give' is lost on these people and unlike the early apostle who fervently await the coming of christ at any moment and therefore dwell in tents, these modern day believers build mansions, that could even rival our own imagination of heaven.

Since, you don't have any first hand knowledge about the actual cause, I guess your conclusions and likely suggestion is as plausible as the ones you condemned above, I must submit that; the ones you condemned even sound more logical.

If the OP's question is presented in a developed country, the responses and likely solutions will defer greatly from yours and may be more in line with the ones you condemned.

In Africa, even with our deep religious beliefs, we still lags behind the rest. If you pause and do a research on the poorest countries in the world today, you will discover one vital trace...i.e. they are deeply religious.

The answer to this is, deeply religious people easily chalk up their life experiences to the supernatural and majority of the time, expects breakthroughs and answers from the supernatural, whereas the less religious ones looks inward for solutions and reinvent themselves and make things happen.

The religious ones find often unknowldly fall victims to their subconscious minds and start rationalizing their suffering, all in the view that, there is after all a better life hereafter, whereas the less religious ones wants make here the better life and as a result, go the extra mile.

Even Jesus himself ascribe the dead seeds to the work of the thorns that grow and shocked them to death and the shallowness of the seeds planted on the rocks as the cause of their fruitless-ness...in present day Africa, the witches are blamed for poor harvest, poor achievement, poor growth, etc that requires deliverance before success can be attained, but the White-man & the less religious attain these same success without deliverance.

Very simplistic analysis. The Japanese are highly religious. They don't joke with their Shintoism. Millions of white evangelicals in the USA are highly religious to the point they vote for politicians on the basis of their specific bible beliefs. Indians are highly religious, and yet theirs is the fastest growing major economy on earth.
